I'm a big basenji fan. I don't put much stock in Coren's intelligence of dogs, though. It's more a list of which dogs are most biddable (trainable) rather than a real intelligence ranking, which is why you see mostly dogs that were bred to work closely with humans at the top of the list, and more independent breeds near the bottom. I know of several smart basenjis; they just need a trainer who can motivate them. It sounds like you're doing just fine. :)

Precious puppy. _ One of my dogs has hypothyroidism, so I can sympathize with the sweater situation. I'm so glad she's in a good home now.
