Tres Chic, Day Five: Haute Couture
The votes have been tallied, and it is time to say goodbye to Sofi Marez. While her work was strong, it seems it wasn\'t strong enough to secure the top spot in this cut-throat fashion competition! As we say goodbye to Sofi and pick up some of her work in the Cash Shop for a limited time, each of the remaining contestants climbs ever closer to the top prize, their very own Subeautique line!
"I shall not lie, I am greatly disappointed. I have dedicated my life to teaching outsiders what true fashion is and they are still too blind to see it! They are the ones that should be mourning this day for they are the ones that have lost, not me. As for me, I shall continue on with my travels; perhaps there is another city out there that can more fully appreciate what I offer!"
And with Sofi traveling into the sunset, that leaves two contestants battling for our highest honor, and what more fitting a theme than haute couture. Vote for the designer that you think truly knows high fashion!

This last round ended up with two of my favorite designers so far. IT WAS HARD TO VOTE but I'll be happy with either outcome, I think!

With Sofi gone Gwen has this in the bag! that princess design actually looks high fashion :D

Kind of surprised it was her. :s Anyway, I love the spiders in Luci's design but Gwen is still my number one girl.
To me Sofi was the best contestant from the beginning, and I really wanted to see her win!
Gwen's stuff is cute, but I wouldn't want to ever really use it( her last designs were messy). Luciana's designs don't really appeal to me either. But I prefer her win over Gwen's!

yeah...Lovely Luciana for the win ...i hope...our short little HAs would look like overgrown creampuffs in all of gwenyths fabric..though i DO love her styles as well!

I dont like spiders but i love the simplicity, a few of those peices you could match with other things. I look for layers i can use and i dont like chunky lace or poofyness like gwen's design. I really hope lucianna wins since her items were more layered nicely with good design. most of gwens stuff is chunky big layers-so i dont like it all.lucianna for the win and Pout i agree with you!

The other one was... Yeah. Too simple and yet too cluttered, and it looked like I'd worn my lounge-about-the-house clothes in a mad dash through a spider's web. It had more of a cheap Halloween costume vibe than fashion.

Ooh, tough choice. Luci's design is simple yet colorful, but Gwen's design reminds me of a fairytale.
I think TeamGwenyth can start blowing up balloons and putting on their frilly lace party hats already. That is a beautiful dress.

Clearly Luciana has no idea what haute couture is. She made a mall outfit with a few spiders, big whoop.
I'm kind of surprised that Sofi was eliminated. I agree with many others too, I think she'd have been amazing at haute couture.
I voted for Gwen again, as I have the whole way through. I think her designs are so beautiful. I love the jacket on this one, and the wing-like things attached to the back. The detailed lace is so cute, too!

Called it. Although I voted for Sofi and wanted her to win the contest, I counted up the votes from the comments/forums and figured she was going to lose to Luciana.

While I love Gwen, I'm torn, I really like the classic simplicity of Luci's design today, the sleek jacket, the lovely shade for the stockings, the neat updo, but Gwen, fashion shows and all that are not for practicality, and she definitely is doing the catwalk well with that.

Oh no! SOFI WHY?! I was kinda secretly hoping for an upset with a Luci/Sofi finale, since I honestly thought Gwen deserved to get the boot for that over-the-top literal strawberry design, even though I loved her animal one.
But Gwen's design this time is fantastic! I'm a bit disappointed in Luci's being so simple. She's pretty hit or miss with me and the only one from her that I REALLY loved was the animal one too.

Got to go with Luciana this round. I normally really like Gwen's and her piece today was great but hell I love spiders, the beautiful asymmetry, the gorgeous fall colors and I'm going to be happy with who wins either way so there isn't any reason to vote on how I want to keep in.
