Reading Drive Prizes!
Alexander and Archie would like to thank everyone who participated in the reading drive! They are both quite happy with the number of books they received, and are looking forward to passing them on to Subeta\'s youth!
They spent all night making sure that everyone\'s points were in order, and now that they\'ve finished, they are happy to announce that the Reading Drive Shop is open! The shop is full of items both new and old, and our resident A-Team is certain you\'ll find something you like. You got 2 points for each book turned in, 1 point for each quest you completed, and 10 points for each day of the scavenger hunt you completed.

@Blanche - np! It was required reading for me in elementary school and the book really stuck with me. I definitely recommend it!
Blanche.....the apple is a ref to The Giver. Fantastic book and I squeed a little when I saw that item!

Does the 70 extra points for the Scavenger quests have been included in the total Alexander's points before the opening of the RD shop? I made some counting and I think there might be something odd with the total points I have received.
I had a chat with another user and she thinks there might be something wrong too.

was able to get every single book i wanted n_n and the ones i missed last year.
hnk for all my whinging i'm impressed the the items were fairly priced and books.

hey ariel is anything in there a book that doesn't quite appear book shaped - you know some times items can be read and yeah -looks at the universal remote?- like the cards for example. I couldn't work out from looking at them.

Managed to get 4 things that had been on my wishlist forever + 3 other things~ :) Maybe next time I can get the other stuff I wanted to get but didn't have points left for.
Soo Pern and Pratchett and goddamned Lackey, KIng, Bartimaeus trilogy, House of Leaves? And some where I don't know the English title :P

I am so tempted to put one in 1967's TC, since Twist and Shout is the only FF I've read and the idea of that in there makes me giggle.
The pern novels and dealing with dragons and the heralds of valdemar series too? Yes subeta did just give me items from three of my favorite book series.

Number of books turned in and number of scavenger hunt days done are both in your achievements.
I'm glad soma tablets weren't 900 points or something. I am glad to finally own them! Now to decide what to do with the remaining 576 points...

For the first few days this event had me a bit stressed out, trying to run around and collect some non-restockable books to turn in.
But the Library Quests were a great addition, and I really loved the daily quest, and the prizes are lovely.

I really enjoyed this event :) The scavenger hunt was great, the extra books in the token shop were a bonus, you made me really work hard finding books to turn in, lol. Plus the extras you did like adding stuff to donations, that was a nice touch.
