I'm all for a range of effects - I mean, I pretty much love the backdrops from the very earliest costume trunks the most and ones like 
were really defined, but these backgrounds match the ones from the art gallery in delphi, and so many of those lack line art.

A question about the sale, though - I bought a few items in the past week and was wondering about the price change blurb on the bottom of the page. Does the refund apply to all price changes (like sales) or only permanent price changes? Should I file a ticket? It would mean getting a few hundred CSC back but I don't want to waste anyone's time if sales don't count. I'd really appreciate an answer from anyone who knows.

I dont understand why people are complaining about the backdrops because they dont blend with site art. Backdrops can vary and since they released them,they can do whatever style they wish to. Personally the backdrops remind me of elestrial(phasma's) backdrops and a few cw artists. Even I have done a few painterly ones that got approved. I think backdrops involving into these painterly/backdrops is amazing, your paying real cash for these things so you really should have good quality backdrop. I love these backdrops and will buy everyone of them.
the backgrounds are stunningly gorgeous but i agree with PoeticEnigma, the art style doesn't necessarily match the site. it matches some cw's...i'm not artsy so i don't know the terms but the art in the backgrounds just seems softer. i still bought half of them, though!
I would have bought more of the gorgeous backdrops if they weren't all pink/purple. They are incredible. But honestly I can't recall ever seeing a pink forest so that one was kind of disappointing because I expected to see a pretty green forest or maybe autumn colors. Hope they release some more with different colors because as amazing as these are they sort of blend into each other with the same colors.
Okay. I think I died when I saw these. I am only screaming and kicking because I am down so low on sP I can't even buy any CSC. :P Seriously gorgeous stuff, ya'll. <3

Those backgrounds are nice but they don't even look like they belong on site. Where's the line art? The HA and any other clothes it's wearing just looks strange on such a detailed realistic background.

Oh my goodness, the item art for the perfume bottles are beautiful! Will definitely have to collect them. :)
So what does "everything in the Cash Shop" include? It looks like everything in the "Items" tab and all trunks are included in this sale, but everything else (Neela, Boutique, CWs, etc.) is out? And I can't tell whether GAs are included or not. They seem to be partially discounted, but it's less than 20%.
Either way, I'm happy to have a sale. I've been holding off on buying the Research File Cabinet, and now I need half of these new backgrounds. :D
