Angelic Clawsion Revamp and Velosotor!
A new year has begun, and the last of the decorations are being put away for next year. Oh, but what\'s this? A few angels that never quite made it to the top of the tree? The revamped angelic clawsion must have been too busy preening those wings to make it up there! And maybe it was the new year bells going off that gave the angelic velosotor its new wings?

That Velosotor......oh. my. goodness. That is brilliant to make it look kind of like an archaeopteryx. I'm dying over this pet. I've got to make serious decisions about potentially making one, if I come up with a good story. But until then...I can't even afford an angelic potion so I've got time xD

The idea for the wings on the Velosotor is cool. Can't say much more about that.
Unfortunately as someone who has owned an Angelic Clawsion for years, I can't say I'm happy with this. The shading is definitely better from a technical standpoint, but I don't like how the proportions look stockier and less elegant than the original. It might have to do with the way it looks like it's turned toward the viewer a little bit now. I'm not a fan of the palette swap either, but I imagine that part was unavoidable since all the Angelic pets have the same palette now.

I have a huge heart for the Clawsion, it was my first pet, this looks absolutely stunning!

I love the fact that the Angelic Velosotor has feathers in the anatomically correct areas for a raptor-type dinosaur, but I have to agree that the tilt of the head makes the overall pose look a little bit off. Still really cool, though!
Yeah man, that's why the animators of the Lion King made Simba's proportions and anatomy change massively between scenes, right? The Beast looks sooo different in every shot. Give me a break.
There's a term for something that doesn't follow the established anatomy in a work or scene, and it's called Off Model. Unless it is literally intended that the Angelic Potion makes the Velosotor have its incredibly squashed proportions compared to its baseline Common anatomy, it is Off Model. For a color that is one of the most expensive on the site.

The revamp looks SO good compared to the old one. Sometimes I don't realize how dated the old art is until we get a revamp like this! Excellent job!

Uuugh, I wish I had a use for a velosotor but I just can't think of how to fit one into my account. It's so beautiful!
Both are really pretty. Loving the cute face of the Clawsion and the eyes and feathered tail on the Velosotor - well done!

Clawsion definitely needed a revamp and the art is great, but its body looks squashed. Way too short.

Pretty! The lineart on both pets looks great.
I do wish the velosotor head went with the flow of the body more. All of the movement in the pose gets lost because of the unnatural head tilt. If the head had even just been tilted up, if you were against flipping it for size sipe, so that the snout followed through with the line of the neck, things would be much more sleek.

I'M NITPICKING I'M SORRY BUT
The tail is all awkward too. Right up until the tip, the way it's tilted makes sense, like it's curling underneath. But then at the tip, the entire tail looks like it's twisting towards the viewer, instead of actually underneath the velosotor. The feathers shouldn't all be fanned out and facing the viewer, tails just don't twist like that.

Also, the arm wings look like they're coming out of the neck, rather than the torso. Seriously, I LOVE the concept, but the anatomy is so off putting that I can't see myself getting one. I totally would if some of the major problems could be fixed.
Angelic is the only pet color achievement I won't be getting since there's no way I paying 45 million for a potion just to change a pet another color the next day. :(

the clawsion is ridiculously cute, but it almost feels like a different species when compared to the old one lol. i always loved clawsions because they weren't super fluffy and cute, they seemed more short-hair-bulldog-bear-things and now they're just cute fluffy-chibi-teddy-bear-pomeranians? the old one seemed more in proportion or something, the new ones head seems huuuuge. the palette change is nice though.

Agreeing with Hoshi's critique of the Clawsion here. The Clawsion's torso looks too short. Their suggestions would fix a lot of the things that bother me about it.
The Velositor art is nice and I love the concept, but I think its torso looks squished as well. I think it could be easily fixed by making the legs smaller and moving them back, making the head and torso a tiny bit smaller, and maybe making the wings larger (depending on whether they're supposed to be full size wings or adorable, stubby arm wings). The base of the tail could also be moved up; right now it doesn't look like it follows the line of the spine.
The head to torso ratio on both of them reminds me more of Chibi pets than adult pets. In short, I think the foreshortening is off on them. I might try my own hand at an edit or redline later so it's easier to see what I'm suggesting.

I'm finding the Velosotor incredibly smooshed. It looks like it doesn't have a stomach; its upper body goes straight to its hips. Combine that with the awkward head positioning and I just can't get behind it despite the cool concept.

I never considered a velosotor as a pet before, but that angelic one is quite tempting! Well done!

ive always really liked angelic pets' pallets - creamy white, pale pink, pastel purple, just a hint of gold. its really soothing, i think. like the others i actually really love the velosotor - ive always really liked raptors, something about both scales and feathers have really appealed to me. and to top it off i dont think i ever really got over my dinosaur phase haha

I love the concept of the velosotor but the anatomy looks incredibly awkward to me. It looks oddly hunched and the left leg is positioned in a way that makes it look longer than the right, and gives the illusion that it's the left arm, instead of a leg.
I know you guys rarely amend pets once they've been released, but please

I don't want to insult any of our hard-working artists, I don't want to be That News Comment Asshole, and I understand that the species is supposed to be stocky, but anatomically speaking this just does not make sense. Either the torso should be longer or at least the hind paws should be put on a slightly higher plane than the front ones to give the impression that it's walking slightly towards the viewer (ex: almost every other Clawsion color). It is SUCH a cute pet aside from that one glaring aspect and I would absolutely get one.

the clawison looks kind of funky, like it has no butt. the four wings thing is SUPER unclear in the picture so it ends up looking like it only hs two wings that are very misplaced. o.o

These are so cute! The Clawsion kept its pose and that's amazing -- I love when Subeta's artists work to keep the idea of a pet intact for revamps, because I know it can't be easy! And the Velosotor looks so COOL, and I love the feathers and the dinosaur thing because that's how dinosaurs probably looked and ARGH, good job.
might need to seriously consider getting a pinkish colored feathery raptor in my near future
