It appears the cries that were heard from the retreating creature were to be believed, as from the swirling mists, Kiyo has reappeared, enraged!
Can the people of Subeta once more protect us from this ghostly beast? Will defeating Kiyo rid Subeta of the sickly 'grayscale' disease that has been afflicting people? Will the swirling mists disperse to reveal something more? These are questions I will continue to report on, as and when I can!
Remember, if you are not able to help battle this monster in the conventional way, Connor Rainsong and Mathis still need all the help they can get crafting weapons to take on the fight! Otherwise, be brave and fight well!

@Heroine I only managed to craft twice, and I got no rewards or achievements, so... never I guess?
uuugh I did not do well on this round at all. :/ I got a damage on here but I dont think it was a whole lot specially since she healed on a few rounds. Hopefully my score wont be low when it is all over :(

I also been seeing around as to what she is. She is totally a Legeica based spirit. Her hooves and tail match up well, she has scale's on her jaw just like them too and ears. She just does not have a broken horn :D Heeey if we get a spirit based pet color will the Legeica have a full horn :D

What is the min amount of damage we have to do to get full prizes? And does not fighting enraged Kiyo affect our prizes? Cause I missed her (hopefully more waves to come?)
Unless the battling takes more hours than this edition next edition i will miss out on the next round. I worked out the damage though. Most battles lasted 5-10 rounds with the occasional lasting only one round and maybe 20 lasting more than 20 rounds so i am looking at over 1 mill damage so hopefully that is enough to get the top prizes. I really kicked myself for not taking part in the last battle plot.
I haven't gotten to fight her yet >X< My fault for going out with my SO on Fridays and Saturdays :P
Argh! She had 60k left, I was mid battle, and my internet spazzed out on me!! I just finally got it back up and working and poof! D: Oh well, at least I got a few in, here's hoping I have more time tomorrow... but it's a bday party so probly not. Meh :/ Still a fun plot and at least a couple of my pets could best 2 of the smaller challengers. :)

Just under 100 battles for me total xD not as many as i would have liked but eh hopefully it is still enough to buy something nice with my plot points

Now that things have calmed down, I've gotta say well done on this design! Great colors and look for this new version, though I'm kind of terrified of what might be coming next...
DAMMIT! The site glitched and said my pet didn't need to heal on the healer after the second-to-last loss and let me select him for rebattling but then said he had 0 hp and only then did he appear on the healer, after which by the time I got the battle to go through and made one turn it was over!
Closest I've ever been to seeing the final hit LOL. Spent over 600k healing that round :o @User not found: _@
I kinda feel bad for Kiyo. To me she looks like she's angry, but also in pain or something. I hope the plot ends with her finding peace and moving on or something. Maybe I'm just too sentimental lol

I was TRYING to figure out what her non-human bits were... then @Turokai goes and says 'some sort of Legaica spirit' and that just had not occurred to us... because we were looking at pets that fit three criteria: Fluffy, cloven-hooved legs, a fluffy tail... and a horn.
So legacia didn't even factor; malticorn, yes, neela, yes, but never the legacia, because nobody on Subeta's ever seen a legacia with a horn...
Every single legacia that anyone has ever seen has had a horn cut off near the base. And isn't THAT suspicious.
(Especially since Kiyo's own horn seems to have taken quite a beating...)

Is it weird that whenever Lady Yoruichi attacks and she doesn't heal that small damage, I get super happy?
For the crafting page, after I checked back after the 1 hr, I read the information & then refreshed so I could provide the next set of items I bought per Connor & now it doesn't have the option for me to talk to him again.

@Nogge Looks like some sort of Legica spirit. Poor thing, so tormented looking. It's sad we have to fight her..., not that I seem to be doing much damage.
would it be presumptuous to hope for some Fatal Frame-ish items in the prizes? Carpathia's comment got me thinking... I can dream! the first Kiyo was really pretty but I think this version is my favorite~

@Uke - Battling also doesn't further your progress in the plot in the same way that playing games did. Battling has it's own prize system for the most part (Goo Hund was the only mandatory challenger in the plot) - the loot drops are the prizes that are gained from battling. Crafting and doing damage that way puts you into the prize pool for the battling loot drops :)

Last time we found an enraged NPC, it became a friendly NPC that introduced a new pet color...... ARE WE GETTING A SPIRIT COLOR OR SOMETHING? THATWOULDBEHELLA.

I feel so bad fighting her because she looks so hurt and tormented... but I really want end-of-plot prizes.

Is it just me or does she look more tormented than angry? Although that didn't stop her from dealing out a one hit kill. Props to the artists for her designs. She looks gorgeous!

Kiyo has such a gorgeous design, I really hope she ends up as some kind of good/neutral npc like tempest. I want to see her again!

Please tell me the enraged version comes with free healing? Pretty please?! At least have some mercy on us if you're going to make us slave away for 5-8 hours, albeit willfully.
I like it :D. This plot has definitely had the best challenger art BY FAR. And that's without my bias of loving the theme.
