User Shop Updates!

We’ve raised the limits of the shops and galleries in testing, which we will continue monitoring and have plans to increase after additional testing. The limits are now 500 for shops and 2,000 for galleries for normal users and 750 for shops and 3,000 for galleries for gold account users.
Those of you participating in the beta testing, remember to report any bugs here! Make sure to keep updated on changes, like moving all of your items from shops and vaults to the new shops.

maybe im trying to ask for diamonds when theyve already given out rubies, but is it possible for non-GAs to view the new galleries? some cw sellers have shifted their hoards to the new galleries and its a minor inconvenience having to ask them to list or query for something in their owned wl they might not be selling "fo-sho". i dont need to test the new gallery or anything, but to just be able to see the contents would be a real icing on the cake. but even if not, we'll be able to see the contents after the testing, so its no real priority. c:

Thank you very much for raising the limit. However, I still want the limit raised further.

Still waiting for the search filters/options to show up in the new shops/galleries like they are in the old ones. Can't really move anything else into my new gallery without the ability to search different filters, categories, names, types, etc. Thanks.

Thank you for increasing the numbers! I can keep my gallery and still add all the items I want for it now ;o;
This is great! In the beginning, I was worried how this would all go over. I definitely had some concerns (some of which I do still have), but I didn't want to scream the sky is falling until things actually begun to happen. Both sides of the argument made sense to me to a certain extent, but after seeing this, I'm starting to side more with the optimists. Hopefully the rest of this all goes smoothly at least for the most part; I know it's always risky business with big changes.
(By the way, does anyone know if there is any word on the Shop Til/Making a Living achievements? I've looked in the news and forums for information, but I can't find anything. If anyone knows something about it, could you direct me to the post/comment? I'd appreciate it. :) )

@Keith THANK YOU! I've been gulping and a little distraught about how on earth I'll ever cut down my gallery. 2K with hopes of it increasing for galleries is something I can swallow so much easier than 500. WOOHOO!
Aw yisss
Thank you for all the hard work guys! The fact that you lowered the cost for pet treasures in addition to raising the gallery limits so quickly really makes this transition easier for me. :)

@grelca
Like I said, I never believe anything you guys say any more. I don't think you ever would have gotten around to raising the limits unless we'd made a huge stink.

That's nice. At least I can keep my bigass legacy shop.

This was the smartest thing Subeta could have done on this day and the simple countering of rage with fact is hilarious. Well done and thank you.

Is there a way you could make the galleries be viewed as a locked yet public vault of collections (minions, clothes, etc) without having any limits applied? I'm not 100% sold on the stores having limits (in theory it makes sense, especially if it means wishlist searches will be limited to one page rather than dangle the carrot of enticement of multiple pages just to be redirected to page one of the shop) but galleries are like badges of honor for the awesomeness of the site, punishing users for having awesome items is, to put it bluntly, really stupid on your part.
Yay for the update, but please consider before making this final.

I'm glad you're listening to the users but I wish you would rethink the gallery limits altogether. It's the shops that supposedly strain the servers so much, and collecting is one of the main things to do on this site.
Thank you!!! This is still not high enough to house all of my minions but I now feel confident they will have a new home soon ^_^

Good for my galleries, bad for my shop xD SO glad I can move items easier. It's made my day and I adore it. Man if I had had that during some of the events I'd probably have a much smaller hoard now lol Single best addition to my Subetian life.

Great news that the limits are raised but still not high enough to keep me from having to make twice as many shops/galleries. And not looking forward to spending days transferring and re-categorizing everything. But thanks for letting us know and trying higher limits.

this is way more acceptable though still not thrilled. i suppose it's worth splitting up my galleries if it improves site performance.
question: will it be possible to rearrange the order our shops appear in on our profile?

I think it's nifty you can transfer your till, too. =) I'm just trying to sell the remaining items in my old shop now!
For the gallery that's great. My biggest one is 3k+. So a bit of rearranging and it'd work perfectly! :D
@ChibiStraws The feedback about how low the limits are had nothing to do with our decision to raise the shop limits. We’ve stated since the start that we wanted to raise limits; we said it in the first news post a week ago and we’ve said it here on the forums. We wanted to start low and go up rather than start too high and have to lower them. The numbers and this timeline have been my decision; I wanted to get some very specific things finished first before we raised the limits at all.

What I think some of you are missing is, because of the shop strain and errors, they haven't been able to update things like they wanted to. Now that this has been straightened out for the most part, other stuff will probably get taken care of as well. Priorities. :)
Thank you for raising the limits already (though I hope the shop limits go higher ultimately) and for the smaller changes rolled out like Remove All, and transfer between Vaults and shops. I also appreciate being able to roll my till over to my new shops.
Yay! ;) Thank you! I should probably start moving my items over now and participate properly in this testing lol.

@HoobFoob Keith posted BECAUSE there was an "absolute freaking meltdown", and listened to us for the same reason. Most of the stuff he says he's going to do, or that's "in the works", never materializes. So when I hear the staff say "Thus-and-so will happen", my response now is to go "Yea, sure. Pull the other one while you're at it."

Has it been decided what will happen to previously purchased (over the basic limits) shops? Will those get 'grandfathered' in any way? That's my last big 'issue' with the change.

@Ringo
Looking at the autoprice page, it looks like GA users do get 1 autoprice free per shop per day. ^-^

Still not enough to hold my minion collection (3300+ items). Another increase would be nice.
See everyone? Keith himself posted that the limits are being raised (after being clearly stated in multiple previous posts). So much for the absolute freaking meltdown that ensued...

Getting better! Thank you! You know, when this all rolls out, 1 free auto pricing per shop would be amazing! (hand pricing kills my soul) xD

That being said, I do appreciate how easy it is now to move stuff. It's the re-categorizing 100s of items that takes hours.
But I don't want to move the items in my old shop to the new one until the new shop search is in effect or I won't sell anything.
So I'm hoping that limit raises and new shop search being made active is coming up real soon.
