It has nothing to do with the plot. This is a quote from his quest page: "Maybe if you save your quest points for a few years you can buy a sock or... something." It was suggested, that he actually should have a way overpriced single sock item in his shop and here we are. ^^

@Mayonaka It will be a prize shop, so you’ll be able to pick and choose what you want rather than get stuck with things we’ve set to various steps (like the first blake plot; i’m very excited to get those items in the antique shop for people).

No, not necessarily. I realize already that this stuff is fairly minimalist for what could be done as far as hype goes, you guys could be going way overboard if you really wanted to.
As for the prizes themselves, honestly "something for everyone" doesn't comfort me at all. People all have very different tastes, and even if you guy did use community suggestions it still applies that I am not the community, I am an individual, and my tastes don't necessarily match those who's suggestions were taken. In fact my tastes usually do differ from most people's. ^^;
That aside though, I think as long as we're getting a prize shop instead of set prizes, things will be fine. Putting hours into an event with hidden prizes at hidden thresholds only to discover that either I still didn't do enough or I am stuck with prizes I don't like though generally isn't something that sits very well with me. I've left multiple events now with nothing to show for it but a hole where my sP used to be, regret, and questioning why I even tried in the first place. Forgive me if experiencing that multiple times has left me a little hesitant to get excited. Games are supposed to be fun, and that feeling is not.

O, yeah! I believe he has got many talents. I like his stuff and the socks are great. I wonder if he has made them with the help of Sephora.

Saggi seems to secretly love dragons, it does make me wonder if he harbors any regret due to his past as a dragon slayer

@Mayonaka I mean would you rather go days without any sort of content released? And I highly doubt you’ll be disappointed with the prizes, we've got a little something for everyone (including some user suggested things from various news comments/forum posts)!
