As usual, we be ‘ere fer 10 days afore we lift anchor 'n we be tryin' t' keep Carl away from our loot so he can’t go givin' our wares away in his quests. Ahm not sure how successful we be, seein' as our muscle be now callin' 'im ‘Uncle Carl’ ’n lettin' 'im cubsit little Brunhilde and Bloodhungry.
Translation: Hello, friends! We’ve had a splendid adventure upon the ocean this year, bumping into no other than Merana on our travels! How jolly exciting. I’m not sure we have the words for that, we’re really quite speechless about it.
Anyway, the crew is back for our yearly trade with a wonderful shipment of delightful treasures completely legally acquired from near and far. As usual, we’re here for 10 days before we have to get back to the open sea. Dear Carl is trying to be helpful by giving out our items in his quests, bless him. He’s been such a treasure since Angrybeard’s cubs were born. He’s not an inconvenience to us at all!

Vending at OD would be nice, if it included all rarities - I didn't even know, there was a rarity cap?! Vending doesn't make ANY sense like this with no longer having a shop to dump items into...
If you decide to have more quest givers hand out Freyalise stuff, you should reduce the sP amount they give...

i've caught two restocks and still haven't gotten anything. luckily, i got something from a quest i was able to sell for 5mil

Screw purchasing from Freyalise when about a dozen items(counting triple stock on some) are gone in two seconds after restocking. Nope. Noooooooooooooooooope. You rabid refreshers can have it.

Honestly I think it's too early to be upset about the restocking yet, but then I enjoy restocking so I may be biased here. Either way I LOVE the Seadog! I need a hundred pls ♥️
This is for nimble fingers and fast internet. Australian internet speed is ranked 54th after some African countries :/ What hope do I have?
I'm eager to see what the alternate routes are for obtaining some of these items. Carl quests are good. What about other quests or maybe vending via Ocean Depths?

@Valiska That's just going to happen because unlike other holiday items, pirate items are restockable rarities so they're free game for quests to grab from. It's just like when we release a new set of items (like when those witch brooms came out) and were asked by some quest givers right after. It's just a quest you're going to have to skip for now, sorry!
Hey @Amber--I've had to abort several quests, which I normally never do, because quest NPCs were asking for items that are not only NOT in the Freyalise store but also NOT in anyone else's store and therefore basically not available at any price.
Even if I were willing to spend 10M sP to buy Tipi the parrot for Quentin (which I'm not unless they are going to give me back 11M sP) nobody's selling the parrot! It'd be great if that didn't happen.

Also, Carl has a chance of giving out items, so even if you get one holiday item per day, you can still try to trade for something that you actually want. That's better than a lot of sites who don't give you much of a chance to get holiday exclusive items outside of RSing.
Ooh, I'd be super keen for the Freyalise to restock more often and to be able to get a bigger set of the items from OD too (maybe with an altered rarity cap because honestly, 75 is too low to bother with)!

I mean, I sat at Freyalise refreshing for over five minutes before there was a restock (Sixteen minutes in total between the last restock and the one I caught)
And I managed two items, one new, one old.
I'm pretty fortunate, in that I have decent connection, and only work part time (Next two days off awww yeeeee) and I tend to do fairly well with the shop as it is, but I'd love to not sit here endlessly refreshing lol0

Okay, coming from someone who only is able to log onto Subeta like a total of 10 hours every week, I don't mind that RSing is a challenge. It keeps rarities up and usually, things die down close to the end of the holiday. It's the same thing that happens with Flight Rising as well, RSing is difficult to do but it becomes way easier later on, and they typically RS with 15+ of the same item.
Just be patient, If you're not lucky, then you're not lucky. I typically grab things that I don't care for and then trade for things that I want, it's not a huge deal and it's possible to still get most of what you want.

I absolutely support rare items through vending. Even if it's just limited to Freyalise items. Maybe especially then, it makes sense. I'm sitting on 70k tokens because there's no point to vending, everything you can vend is so cheap. I'd happily vend to the limit every day if I even had the CHANCE of getting something more rare.
All of the cool tentacle stuff is over r80 and that's what I really want!

If you can swing it, you should definitely try to make ALL of the Freyalise items vendable. Even if it's just the smallest chance.

I tend to avoid shops like that completely. I just went to it with it being fully stocked to pick out something then it was already gone. So no point really. I guess I'll just wait for the chance of getting something from the quests.

I actually like that this is one of the few (only?) holidays left where there's RSing. It's a mad dash, infuriating at times, but so damn awesome when you finally win and score the items you wanted. And I'm one of those people with a full time job, a hugely time-consuming hobby, and really hit-or-miss Subeta hours. The first day - and especially the first few hours - of the event is -always- like this! It will settle out and after the first day or so, you'll start to see more items restocking and more of the new stuff too.
(As a side note, pirate stuff in OD would be pretty swell.)
