Translation: Hello good customer, you seem in need of a rest! At my inn, you can enjoy the lively atmosphere of young cubs playing alongside the delicious smells from the kitchen. We have some excellent new dishes this year, absolutely not supported by child labour. We’re lucky to be able to serve such wonderful food! The customers think so too, so grab a seat before we’re full!

So anyhow, keep up the good work on creating awesome characters Subeta. I'm so glad you understand that to be realistic you need to branch out and not do the same tired crap others do. It's refreshing and makes things far more enjoyable and naturalistic.

Oh my, but I am banned from forums for life due to non-forum-related off-site activity! So alas, that is not an option for me.
Anyway I'm not upset, I'm just annoyed as I am when facing any kind of unnatural contriveances. Does it not feel forced that BOTH of them are reversed from what society considers (trivially, yes) standard? The colors, the personalities, the interests.
I retract my sarcasm and offer the following explanation:
It feels contrived in the same way that they once wanted to make "Dumbo 2"; they wanted to give him an ostrich friend who was jealous of him because ostriches are birds that can't fly, yet here's an elephant who can oh how ironic and unfair! The pitch was grossly simple and unimaginative, and thank Jebus they never made it.
So yeah, it's just... I feel it's super non-organic. It'd have been better if they were both into cooking, or tap-dancing, or cobbling shoes. Twins that are virtually opposites is cliché all by itself anyway.

@Frankenchokies I don't see the need for sarcasm. If you have suggestions as to how an NPC could be designed that wouldn't upset you, feel free to post in it in the Suggestions forums.

Oh how interesting that the children don't follow gender-stereotypes, what with the girl being a mischievous fish-gutter and the boy being the book-reading sort who's interested in cooking. How very interesting, and so fresh.

edit this in: I meant that they are not on her NPC character anymore, which makes me sad.... lol But seriously, where are they/why are they not with her anymore?
(*I know they are present in the cute cute shop keeper image though.*)

I love that Babette seems to support both of her cubs' endeavors, even if they're not traditional piratey things. Such a cute family <3
