A Decorated Request!
Now, I thought at first about doing something special for Jaxon this Luminaire, it being his first one in a long long time. But we talked about it, and he uh, well, he said he had everything he ever wanted and so I figured I’d show him the other great side of Luminaire - helping others!
Of course, we’ve taken a few sunrise forest walks over to see our buddy, Dungarde, but we realized his crypt could probably do with brightening up. What better way than with Luminaire decorations? This is where I need your help though. We only had a few bits and we’re not sure our tastes are really the variety that Dungarde would like, so we’d like to ask you for your help! Would you meet me back at Shadowglen forest, outside the crypt? The entrance is just past the Mage's hut, between the trees. I have a list of ornaments and a few toys that I think might work if you can spare the time!

Alright - we're making another change! We figure Dungarde will be just as excited about stickers and craft items, so the item pool is about to be much larger :) (and Ian might not even ask for an ornament in every quest!)

So, uh... not to be the one complaining, but... I mean, the payout is just really bad :( most of the ornaments I'm being asked are around 15-40k, and Ian askes multiples, and he gives me back around 25k :/ I know it's not the spirit of the thing, which is why I'm still doing it, but... It would be nice if at least I made it even?
Yep, not paying millions to complete quests for minimal achievement stuff and a few crystals.

I lost A LOT of sP doing all 15 quests :/ I’ll probably keep doing them if I’m able, but the prices are ridiculous. I bought one ornament that was very expensive in hopes that maybe it would be an outlier, but that definitely wasn’t the case :(
BUUUUT, this is so freakin cute and sweet and I’m excited to see where it goes once the kinks are ironed out! I hope there’s more to come with these cuties :heart:

And a general reminder that we can get a box if ornaments from Melody if you visit her cottage. You get 3 - 5 from every box, I think? The more we buy, the more there is to go around!
Will Ian quests be added to the quest list. And if not when does this end, since we need to complete 75 for the achievement. Which will be impossible at these prices.
Just tried to do some quests... over half I could not do because the prices for ornaments is now astronomical! I like the idea of getting crystals, but I lost more sp than gained. Looks like I'll be sitting these quests out for a while.
I do only 2 Quest, cause what he want is to much for that what he give. Not more than 20 - 30k, but he is going up to mio :(

Still got a some 100k+ quests, and even 100k+ items, but I'm sure it's because of greedy people (it's release day after all). With the days to come they'll probably lower the price again.

with the tweaks to the item pool, i'm really loving these!! all but one of them were doable (items from ~1k - 20k, with two outliers at 37k & 40k) and from 14 quests i made 86 crystals which is awesome because i am very bad at fragging so this is great for me!

it's much better with the reset now, though I fear it won't take long until all of the ornaments are inflated like crazy as well.

lmao I just got on and was wondering why I suddenly had a rush on three items in my super rares shop. I usually do sell those because I have them priced at 5mil so they'd show up in shop search when Saggitarius asks for them.
Definitely much better with the reset! He didn't ask for a bunch of impossible stuff this time. But, this time around I only completed a few out of hte ten, bc the price for items was still much more than the payouts. (lots of ornaments in the 20-70k range, and most of the toys were 50k+)
Thanks for the reset. Tried again and this time he was asking for items 50-130K. But since he only gives back 10-20K I lost a lot. Not sure if it's worthwhile even with the lower cost items but will try again tomorrow.
I'm fine with having occasional quests that we have to choose to quit, I do it with Library quests all the time. Same thing with quests not always being profitable (see: Quentin). Alls I wants is that tree topper at the end! :D

@Lighthouse - they should have been now? You may have checked a little bit early!
Also, I've had a test with 5 quests and all were under 20k per item apart from one 70k item (and a lot of items were under 5k) - so hopefully this is fixed, and we can all spend tonight filling up our shops with the ornaments we don't need from Melody :D

I love the idea of this, but wow the item pool needs to be tweaked like crazy! Out of ten quests, he asked me for a Dotted Pram four or five times, and two other quests he asked for items that flat-out aren't available in shops at all (the Marsh Fester Hand Puppet that someone else mentioned, and some Chai item iirc). And I don't think he asked for any other 'toys' besides those I just listed.

(super lame that the item pool is making this fun seasonal treat a drag for everyone ;o; i hope fixing the pool will be quick and painless!) but otoh i can't complain about the issue bc extra quests today means i get the forum title after the daily reset! yee

Ok, so there MAY have been a typo that made you all get the same quest...so it may not be somebody being a grinch, but just a lot of you all buying up the same item to give to Ian. You are all truly angels.
That said, we've adjusted again, should only ask for items UNDER R88 now, and we'll reset quests again. Keep on with the feedback, we appreciate it!

that's because those are in legacy shops... shops that can't have items added or repriced. So they're being bought up but not added to shops for millions which is kinda a plus?
