shrugs well, a price reduction on not too expensive items, I wished they did this with absolutely unobtainable or freakingly pricey items - I look at 3.750.000.000sP Antique Shop weapons, war/event prize weapons, books etc.
Other people may be happy about it because everyday users don't have 10mil to spend on changing one little image on their pet. (even if they really need to)
People also might be happy because it's been a suggested to lower the prices a few time over the years & staff listened to them (as the m/f berry used to be pretty inexpensive).
And trans, or nb, a, etc gendered people might appreciate that they can now make their pets what they'd like at creation, instead of having to pay premium later on. It's equality.
Not only that, but not everyone plays the game the same way or has the time and knowledge of the game to make millions for allll of the things that that they would like to have. 2 million makes this item much more accessible to more people. (& actually removes money from the game in the process)
Just because a player like myself can drop half a billion buying random gifts for people on luminaire doesn't mean that other players could ever dream of such a thing and I try to remember that. Or, remember the pet voting contest that got the blob turned into a regular pet? It was a crazy to see that I could have single-handedly paid to fund whichever pet I would have wanted to win & still had plenty of money left over! Other users do not have the amount of money I may think of as "normal" on here.
TL;DR: The average user only has 22,000,000sP (and there's a good chance that users like you & I are pulling that average up HARD) That's HALF of the money that a user might have! That 2 million per berry is a great discount.
To a majority of other people, that 10 mil to 2 mil IS the equivalent of your 3bil item dropping in price.

I meant easy access on genderless pets, oof. The excitement got to me, pressed enter fast. I'm just so glad I don't go through hoops and loops just to have genderless pets anymore.

@BoaConstrictor now genderless pets are WAY WAY more (5 times more) accessible to all users. it's a greatly desired item so many ppl are happy for the change :)
