Riftborn Pets!
The warador, ontra, cadogre, urubu, lasirus, serpenth and scootle have all at least retained some of their old forms. But every other species is coming out as some kind of ultra rift amalgamation! What is going on in that rift?!

Much as I like some of these (especially the serpenth; wow): I'm going to wait on the telenine and/or the darkonite.
Here I thought Hentai was already perfect as a sweetheart Aeanoid, but now this mouth-tongue-and-tentacles color is making me question my life choices.
They look a little busy execution wise, but the concept and design are stunning! My favorite is the Ontra so far. Can't wait to see more!

So what happens if you throw a pet already rifted back in to the rift again? If it's species specific it probably comes out the same but if it's not one that has a rift color yet maybe it would be returned a different one of the 2 generic colors.
I was thinking something else when looking at the Rift colors, but I'll just wait until the Galactic color is released to color No pet found: moonduststar the tenno to give her the look I want for her.

Eww. I mean, great job, on the art and all, but I'm super grossed out by these. Now I have to go spend sP on a potion, because I can't stand looking at multiply eyes. They freak me out.
While the riftborn versions of actual pet species all certainly look cool, I am definitely much more delighted by the "unknown" species you can get like those last two. Are there more of those? Will there be more? It's SUCH a fun idea , and the simplicity of those two designs really helps them to stand out and look iconic.
Hunh! When did the Urubu come out? I don't remember ever seeing it before. Looks great as a rift pet tho. I may have to create one just to throw in, since I was born in he year of the pig....
Changed Nareru into a blob and yeeted (yote? yet? WTF is past tense of "yeet") into the rift, can't wait to see how they look when they return!! (I chose that pet because the name literally means "to grow accustomed to" which I thought was appropriate since that's basically what the pets that go into the rift are doing. :D)
I love the new rift colors! I sent a Reborn Mortiking into the rift and got the Common Experiment #ra001 (second to last rift pet on the news post) which i would have chosen if given a choice :) very happy with my new pet color.
Changed Distortions into a lasirus and tossed him in haha. These look super cool, also looking to more pets released in this color in the future!
I had a feeling they'd come back riftborn, but this is even cooler than I thought! I thought that if rift pets ever happened, they'd be a recolour of galactic, but these aren't. You've put so much effort into them and it's amazing! Now I gotta decide which pet to throw in there :D
Really are awesome. Love the Urubu and the Cadogre esp, but the two new others are interesting.
