I didn't read the original story, but judging by what others have said, this ending is better~ Loved the pun. And agree that a custom overlay of the meats would be super awesome; the art is so well done and the pet deserves an awesome display! Congrats on the win.

And I wanted to let everyone know that I have updated the story. And this way, I can do an origin story that is based in fantasy rather than based on a frightening part of history/present.

Fwiw, and sure it is not much, I did not mean to make light of mental health. I admit at the time I wrote that, I had been watching Suckerpunch and I think that is why it came into the story. I really meant for it to focus on the unlikely friendship between Lard and his owner. Once I get to an actual computer where I can make changes, I will be removing those elements. Again, I did not intend on hurting anyone.

the overlay is cute but.... yeah i'm gonna have to agree that the whole "hur hur it's funny because he's ~CRAZY~ XD" thing isn't good at all. it's 2019 lol sorry

I'm all for writing freedom, but I wasn't expecting that ending.
I'll say I'm uncomfortable. Nevertheless, congratulation. The overlay is very adorable.

the idea and overlay are pretty great!!
but, I dunno. that twist ending of 'see it's funny/scary cause he has psychosis' felt uncomfortable.
