Such a beautiful tribute. I sure hope not all is lost and it can be rebuilt. I've never visited but it had always been a dream of mine to, such wonderful history lay within.
Well, that was fast.
This had been hard to watch last night, I'm very relieved the main body of the structure is left standing and at least some of the art was carried out. For a while there it looked like the entire thing may come down, which would have been a devastating loss :(

I cried when I heard the news, walked by that cathedral almost daily when I lived in Paris. Thank you so much for this tribute

Thank you so much. I don’t know why, but somehow the fire hit me really hard when I heard of it, considering all the memories I have associated with the Notre Dame.

Thank you guys so much for this. I was crying last night watching the videos, as I had the chance to visit Notre Dame in 2012 with my mother and like many others have fond memories of it. Thankfully the damage can be repaired and no lives were lost, and the cathedral will rise again from its ashes.
Thanks for the lovely tribute. I was holding back tears watching the news... so much history; however, it's not the first time it's been damaged and it will rise again!

No one died, at least as far as the news goes.
The Notre Dame cathedral just had a fire that caused parts of it to burn. People are concerned about it and hope that it can be repaired is all. It is an important historical site in France for both religious and non-religious alike.

@Sprinter137 nobody died but the Notre Dame Cathedral was severely damaged in a massive fire.
