Cash Shop: Possessed Pearl Cameo

Mattieu’s doing just fine, thanks to you. He’s resting and taking it easy. He did write this out to you, though. Said he wanted to give you the information while it was still fresh in his mind. He doesn’t think it will help, but there’s got to be a genuine lead in here, right?
“Dear friend,
I want to do whatever I can to help you as you’ve helped me, but I find it hard to write a coherent thought. It’s as if my memories are being pulled out of my mind. This was something that the other victims discussed feeling after their possessions, so after you freed me, I knew I had to write down anything I could. Unfortunately, what I wrote no longer makes sense to me.
“Hard to see, can make out vague shape. Human? Glowing,” “Shadowglen, twisting trees,” “The floating market in Shengui Guo,” “Pillars in the desert,” “Dark cave, filled with magic,” “Firey aura, but it’s so cold,” “Broken swords, broken spirit. Punishment. Anger.”

she's a server, she serves for a living, her job is to serve, and that's why she be serving constantly. serving us top quality serves as she serves us, cause that's what she does as she is a server.

I love the art on this challenger so much! I'm speechless. I've recently watched Fairy Ranmaru and those boots looks like something Uruu would like to wear lol.
Woah! The art for this one is so gorgeous!
And hmm... so, again we see the Puppeteer being fond of more elegant and pretty creatures, and her final sentence is very curious. Calling her previous victims and possibly future ones "peasants" suggests that she's either some type of royalty or is powerful and vain enough to consider herself above everyone.
Which reminds me... wasn't there an old subeta character that was a dethroned princess turned thief or something? I don't think she wasn't in a plot, but she exists and even has a plushie from years ago... I can't remember her name, but I know she existed. Maybe we're dealing with a character from way back in subeta's past? A character that's been easily forgotten over the years?

@Nerds
Great theories! I've been thinking Jogoh would be a target at some point, but to have it all but confirmed... I wanna see what creature they manage to create, I bet it will be gorgeous.

Oh wait, Mathis has been a challenger already too.
Maybe the broken swords and fiery but cold are not clues about a next victim but clues about who the one doing the possessing is?

@pointycatears
I actually thought of Ian right after I posted, which could make sense because yeah I think he does live in Shadowglen with Jaxon now, or at least spends a lot of time there. And he has been known to create some things in the past.
@Nerds
The only issue I see with the Shadowglen guesses is that both of those NPCs are already existing challengers. But I think the other ideas are pretty good though!

@Laurey I think for Shadowlgen it could be Jaxon or Ian, or even both, or maybe Ian and Quentin, and if that is this month as the order suggests, then maybe the thing they make will be a carnivorous plant creature that fits with the monthly theme. We know that Jaxon has at least one of those...

Holy crap, stunning. It looks like a Sailor Moon villain in the best way.
Also, can I just say that I am SO thankful the artist(s) stopped changing the faces on the overlays between m/f. I believe the Possessed Ornate Propeller was the first to keep the face the same in these. The changes for these haven't been as dramatic as other skins, but it is nice to seeI also wouldn't mind if it were switched up to have more dramatic eyelashes and fuller lips but still be the same on both overlays.

That is lovely art, but the being's back looks like a chair, or that their back is broken. I don't think that a body is supposed to bend that way. With the folded back, battle high heels, and hint of exposed ass, this looks like an Escher Girl

Also as for the text, it does seem like some of these may be predictions for upcoming victims...
“Shadowglen, twisting trees,” - I would say the Mage, but their already a challenger. Maybe the alchemy NPC?
“The floating market in Shengui Guo,” - Jogoh most likely
“Pillars in the desert,” - one of the scroll NPCs? Or the beanbag lady

I wonder if this is foreshadowing for where the other possessed challengers will be found. I also wonder if that's also the order they will be in, which means Shadowglen could be next?

Oh my god, the challenger art just gets better and better. I've never had a thing for andriods but I may be in love now. :D :O
Holyyyy shit, is this the most beautiful challenger created? I would do anything for some of those accessories to be made wearables.
Honestly a challenger-inspired chance machine or something could take all my money.

Whoever is doing the art for these enemies is just going above and beyond all the time. This is just so dang cool ^

(those boots, this bodysuit, these arm guards, this drape, this mask, EVERYTHING really!)
