...Sorry, got a little carried away there. But I meant what I said. If you stab that thing enough times -- say, 15 million damage worth of times -- I should be able to use the jiggly chunks you lopped off to craft you your very own Hydragellos Maniacal Core.* I'll keep track of your total damage here so you can check it anytime.
And don't worry if you can't do that much damage; I'm sure I can scrounge up various prizes for everyone who participates, based on their overall damage dealt!
*One core per account; the 15m damage has to be from a single pet. You have until Thursday at 10pm. Good luck!

Right now it's completely impossible to battle, all efforts get lost when the battle is cancelled after 5 minutes of inactivity after not being able to re-load the page. Since I have very little time to battle, that's very disheartening -_-

Lots of refreshing, sure, but it’s still progressing. I’m at a measly 45k damage so far with my tier 8 pet. I should have been better prepared. :P
With all the lag and broken pages, I doubt I'm going to have the time to grind out the 15m damage with my T12. :/ Maybe next time.
I don't know how anyone actually accomplishes this, even without the lag. I've been training my pet for years and it'll still take me thousands of battles to get this done.
Make that "You have until Saturday" (at least), because we lost all 3 weekend days to lag and malfunction.

If this battle lag does not stop I think Subeta team needs to extend this challenge. This is horrible.
OMG I'm so tired of taking 5 times as long to lose each battle and having to keep hitting refresh over and over, not just for battles but everything else as well. Also giving up for a while, especially since there's no way I can get 15 million by Thursday any way. Good luck to the rest of you.

Between the bad gateway errors and gateway timeout errors, the site is unusable. I can't even quest, let alone fight the hydragellos.

Marika would need 362 battles, which is not that bad, but I find the lag too annoying at this point.

My battle pet is T10 and with this much lag I just straight up might not have enough time available to grind out 15m. Did you know if you're "inactive" for 5 minutes the Hydragellos battle times out? Learned that yesterday while waiting on my attack to go through 🙃

15mil damage is already a lot, and multiple HOURS of work. And that's totally fine. I'm more than happy to do THAT grind.
But it's incredibly disheartening to work on this when the site is timing out every other page, making what might have been 10 hours into 20+ hours worth of tedious grind. Especially for people (like myself) who do not have that amount of time to dedicate to this site in such a short deadline.
I'm sitting here trying to hit my goal for the day and the amount of time I projected is out the window, and I'm now eating into important time I need for other things. I realize that it's my choice to do that, but I'm just not having a good time being punished (unintentionally, not saying staff is doing this on purpose, please don't take it that way), in what feels like a decision between unbearable lag and waiting another 2+ years to HOPE for less lag for another attempt.

I hit 3m. I'm doing my best to get to 15m. I don't have to go against anyone else for the win. I just have to fight the lag, the grind, and myself. I can only hit for between 1k-1.5k but I can last a few rounds before getting knocked out. My weapons suck and my pet could be stronger but I'm determined. The sp doesn't matter. I just need to strap on my wrist braces.
Is it worth it to fight with a lower tiered pet (mine is tier 3) in the hopes of getting a small prize? I don't know what the lowest amount of damage a prize will be given for has been in previous years, and it doesn't cost as much to heal, but it's still as tedious as fighting the Mini Gelatins and the Gliders.
Well... if I got my math right I'll need ~7500 battles and ~82m sP for healing looks into vault and I'm only ~60m sP short of that :laughing:

Did 2.5m damage in 1hr 15, roughly 2m spent on healing, should take about 12m, not too bad I guess haha
Done with Kilroy in 134 losses. Better than the 161 or so in 2019. Now lets see how SunDragon averages.

We never decide the final prize breakdown ahead of time. The 15m damage for one core is set, but for everything else, we always look at all the damage stats, break them down into ranges, and assign prizes from there. That way if the top 100 people have done say, 10m damage and number 101 has done 9.9m, they don't get left out -- we try to make the ranges encompass all battlers who performed similarly.
Ahhh 15,000 battles is not on my to-do list for this week. Good luck to everybody trying for top prizes, my T7 here is content enough with whatever participation trophy he'll get!
Just to revive from the 23,077 battles I would need to do to reach 15 mill with an average 650 damage per fight would be 92mill. 😂 I’ll pass this round. Good luck to those with better chances than me!

It's 15m damage with a single pet. There's no cumulative damage prize(s) for all pets. Every pet will get individual rewards.
To hit 15mil i'd have to do ~86,200 fights 🙃 Whew, i'm happy with the pittance i get from doing what i've done xD

So reading the news post, it's 15 million damage between all your pets battling together. I get the only 1 Core per account, that's fine. Last time it let us get multiples of the loot below Core per pet if pets did enough damage individually to meet damage thresholds.

Yeah...I know I won't be getting to 15mil...since I'd need to battle thousands of times each day. Ah well maybe the lesser prize(s) will be good too
