I like having a date to shoot for with masquerade! I understand why you can't always give an estimate like this, but it is nice when possible to have a general idea just because I am a terrible procrastinator and tend to put off figuring out events or special CWs until it's nearly (or actually) too late. XD

Amber@seraph Sometimes we just don't have it finished or due to scheduling conflicts (finishing up a holiday or starting something else that day for example). It is what it is and we try to give y'all a heads up when we can.

Just to go in to a bit more depth -- the schedule is for rough estimates for holidays that don't have set start days like Elwood Day or Luminaire. Those rough estimates are just that, rough. You get an idea of when a holiday will be and we try to do news posts like this one to give you a more narrow expectation for the year and once we're closer, the actual date. Why? This is just because having actual start dates listed never works out well for things, especially since a lot of us on staff have other jobs or other real-world issues (like Vesnali I think was delayed last year because of crazy weather half of us on staff were dealing with).
We're not going to update the schedule for minor things like early/mid/late because again, it's just a general broad thing instead of being based on that specific year! We did edit the schedule when we moved Vesnali and Masquerade because that was an actual significant change that will stick moving forward.

Can I ask why the collection gets delayed so often? When it was supposed to happen in the 1st it would get delayed all the time as well. No shade, it doesn't bother me, I'm just curious as it seems like a simple thing to do.

@Sneaky @ethan It's just for this year. The schedule is a rough estimate, with things like that it's not set in stone for the specific year.

i will say i agree with @sneaky though; mid-may is more..between the 10th and 20th. may 23rd is a little late to be considered 'mid' may. i definitely support an update to the holiday schedule with this!

I consider any day after 20th May to be late May rather than mid May, so I feel like maybe the Holiday Schedule should say that? But it depends if you consider it to be late or not. I just consider it late since it's more than halfway through the month.
