Catch Bugs for Chimalma!
The daily bug Chimalma requests of you will be found floating around the site. You can also buy a bug from user shops to bring to her.

The main page of subeta send me to the quest giver for the bug catching she tells me to find a banana slug i found the slug go back i get Bug catching is back next summer.... wtf?

@Allegria I've been having fun catching them. Didn't even realize that it was a new feature, but I'll miss it when it's gone. Guess I better make sure I do it daily - and keep getting the bugs for <i>free</i>.

@Castiel_Angel I know this reply is really late but it doesn't matter what price people put them in shops for, newer players get them for just as free as anyone else by doing the quests.

Guilty as charged, she asked me to get a honeypot ant and I got one... but added it to my minion zoo. I love honeypot ants; I don't wanna give it away! :(

I have been doing the bug catching every time its available. For some reason I am stuck on a search for her since midnight. Bug still hasnt shown up anywhere..... never had this happen before...suggestions?

I love bugs, especially insects (spiders not so much but I'm working on it), and this event always makes me Google them because I want to know if they're real or just a Subetian creation. Today I found a Picasso Beetle, and guess what, they're real! They live in Africa. And there's no name for them in my language.

Is there a way to cancel a 'quest' for her? I have a bug I've been looking for now for years and it just won't ever appear. I want to reset the whole thing and just start fresh with finding a new bug

I love how this event is just being exploited by greedy people grabbing bugs to jack up their prices in the market so newer players can't get them.

For instance, in 2021, it started on Oct 19th &, in 2020, Oct 18th. So, probably around then.

I do not know why I love this event so much since I'm not particularly fond of bugs but it is so much fun. Maybe someday I will create a garden bug collection for one of my pets.
Wish the bird event was this awesome but it seems to always be glitchy with some birds being impossible to catch.
Can't wait to catch the new bugs!

Can we get an alert for this feature please? I only remember to do it for a few days when I see the news, then it gets lost in my mind... It would be really helpful 😇

Most bugs can be found anywhere on the site. A few bugs have specific places in their name, like the Vetan Symphocada, and you might have better luck finding those bugs in that location.
When you see a bug on your screen, you'll need to click on it to collect it -- it won't automatically appear in your inventory. If you accidentally refresh the screen or move to a new screen and fail to collect it, the bug will reappear after a few moves, so you don't have to worry too much about missing one.
When you have the bug in your inventory, it's necessary to show it to Chimalma (she's on Delphi Beach), otherwise, she'll just keep asking for the same bug day after day. Once you've shown it to her, you can use it as a minion for your pet, or put it in the minion zoo, or sell it.

@crone I enabled the Notepad widget on my Subeta Sidebar and use it exclusively for links to places I go frequently. At event times like this, I’ll add a link at the top and then delete it when the event is over. It uses scode, so you can turn them into nice hyperlinks or group things into categories with headers. It’s very useful!

Caught one! Turned it in, assuming it would disappear from my inventory. So I went to the pet zapper and POOF!! He turned into a pile of dust. Poor little guy got caught by the zapper mere minutes after the event started, he didn't have a chance. xD
