For a moment there I thought I was going crazy, since when do malticorns have TWO horns? It's just this one, I'm not crazy. Kinda love that is has two, weird mutant/frankenstein malticorn.

ohhh this has to be one of my favorite revamps!!! it keeps the essence of the original so perfectly while also looking a lot more detailed and fluffy and consistent with the site's recent style. i've never been a big malticorn fan but this one is making me reconsider

I absolutely love it!! The pose looks much more natural, and the grin reminds me a lot of the mischievous grin on the old old Graveyard Malticorn.

The revamp is great, but when I look at the old vs new next to each other all I can think is 'you put your left hoof in, you put your left hoof out, you put your left hoof in and shake it all about...'

Fantastic revamp! I'm not a fan of graveyard pets but I really appreciate the revamp and how it nicely represents the older art!

Hello, hi, I’d like to sing praise for this revamp in an overly-long explanation of every little detail. Feel free to ignore me; I’m just super passionate about petsite art and a DORK, ok.
I saw the news headline and let it sink in before I clicked to look. My friend has a GY malticorn named after me, so it's pretty well etched into my brain despite not having it myself. I thought "But, doesn't it already have really good art?" and sat with that for a minute, getting myself hyped for a minute before looking. I was expecting just a small update since, as I said, I remembered it already being pretty solid and just. Man.
The old art was great imo, but the fine details added are just- chef's kiss. I. LOVE. THE. RUFF. The signature lil curl is still there, but it's subtle and blends wonderfully with how sticky-uppy the fur is now. Dude, I can feel the texture of this thing just looking at it. The fur feels all matted and gross (y'know, in a good way), but also weirdly soft? Those back LEGS, bro! You can really feel the thin skin stretched over its poor, emaciated lil bones. Moving the bone detail onto the top of the tail from the side looks so much better, especially with all of that fur given more room to jut out all over, looking unkempt af. The hooves look much nicer in general with the softer shading. The hair and ears look fluffier and messier than ever in the best way. Love the slightly uneven horns. Love the slight change in the front limbs- the pose looks much cleaner and distinct overall. Okay, and, normally I’m not a fan of closed mouth grins on pets for whatever reason, but this dude’s rocking it. Looks like SUCH a lil shit that just got up to some mischief, bless him. xD I’m neutral on the addition of the back wound and changing the markings to wounds, but they’re very well done. I do love how lumpy the back wounds make the lil fella overall- this guy’s just got all kinds of macabre TEXTURE all over and it’s great.

The people who don't see a difference--I didn't either! I had to go searching online to discover that it just hasn't actually updated for me yet. The new one is indeed fluffier and the tail has changed. If you're looking at the comparison in the comments, all you will be seeing are two identical images--of the old version! Don't feel like you're going crazy, just give the site a little time to officially update for you. It does still look essentially the same, but with tweaks that make it look more detailed and yes very roadkill looking.

It is an ... improvement? I guess at least for a graveyard pet. Always thought they were more gooey than fuzzy but I guess this one has a little life left. Seriously though very good art.

Yessss this is awesome! I LOVE the subtle update, and it truly kept the same essence and mischievousness that the previous art had.
