Morostide Trick-or-treating: Some updates!
Thank you to everyone who has been letting us know about issues with trick-or-treating. As you might've noticed, we've had to bring ToTing up and down multiple times today.
:ghost: There was an issue with timers that have been fixed! Understand that choosing where you trick or treat or choosing to go with a random house is built on the same timer. The 5 minutes is for the random, though.
:ghost: At one point, some houses were giving out 'no item'. Which... rude! This has been fixed.
:ghost: Users are amazing. Y'all always do a thread tracking items and ... unfortunately we made quite a few users think they were crazy. Some items were popping up in multiple "house" groups. That was because anyone in houses 1, 10, 11, and 12 were getting pulled together because of that pesky '1'. This has also been fixed!
:jack_o_lantern: You can't change your house group, it's set in stone because we captured data from earlier in the month to sort y'all. I haven't seen anyone figure out the method yet, so here's another clue. Look to the pets! It's something to do with pets. :)

So, if one figures out the houses, then they would know which houses give different prizes, and could choose where to trick or treat based on that information, if I am getting that right. I have no idea, but I always do random trick or treating anyway. I'm cool with the gamble.
If anyone trick or treated at my house and didn't get anything, even though it wasn't intended, I'm sorry.
Also, I love Alexander's costume. I thought what is he, he looks great, wearing a boa and a hat with flowers. Then I saw the stripes, and the book, and I was like, oh! =)

The random TOT is 5 minutes, the regular TOT is about 5-11 minutes. Trying to get 4 more rag dolls so using the list of who gives out what & then if I get them all I will switch to the random. Still need books from the patch. Good luck to everyone getting what you want.
Hmm. The distribution of users seems to be HEAVILY weighted towards one specific group. I thought the whole point of the grouping mechanic was supposed to eliminate this sort of thing?

Ok, so most people fall into around 4 groups with all their pets. Those few in groups 1-4 are going to be hammered! LOL
I'm unfortunately still getting the "item not found" thing, too. It's only happened twice for me, though!

@Spatial It's not ideal, but you can see how many pets a user has via their battle stats page.

So glad it's fixed! We wasted and lost so much time, trying to Tot and figure it out!

I don't understand this Houses thing at all. How do we know which House we're in? Is there a list somewhere?

Is it the earliest or latest date that one of your pets was made?

Active pet's birth or adopted month? If it's set and unchangeable, because the data was captured earlier in the month, and it creates 12 houses...? 🤔
(I'm not sure what else would divide pets into 12 categories. I'm pretty sure we have more than 12 colors and species.)
Or... well. According to SubetaLodge, we currently have 36 colors, so conceivably ToT group one could have had an active pet in colors A, B, and C; ToT group two could have been colors X, Y, and Z, etc. I dunno. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is it possible to adjust the new item ratio? @BoaConstrictor and I, both noticed the same thing. Older items go out a lot more than the newer items.
