Upcoming things!!
:star: Survival will start this week. I will likely add items to both Survival shops in the evening and keep those shops closed until the start of the holiday. So don't freak out if you see a "this shop is closed" message in the coming days!
:star: Survival will last into March. How long? Not sure yet!
:star: Snowballs! I've really dropped the ball (ha!) on bringing back the snowballs. So once Survival ends, I'll release them for a full month (yes they will go into spring). Maybe even a winter challenger or two.
:star: The first day of spring is March 20. So the Millionaire Center will turn over then. Keith has been testing quests (read more here), so this may be the last time we do seasonal quest shop based items. I'll have more information about that closer to the spring changeover!

L'Amour Parlor is currently closed... perhaps they are stocking it with the Survival items for this season! Ooo, we're close!!
wait what, quests are going to be changed?? I'd appreciate big changes like that being mentioned in the news sooner, I don't check the forums very often (especially not for updates since I thought that's what the news post was for?) and I had no idea this was on the table, oh man :(

I always have trouble finding the new quest on Kumos, the only time I've seen them is when someone posts a link in the shoutbox. I don't really like how the layout fits my computer so I guess I usually only go there for shoutbox, but I did look for the quests and couldn't find them on my own.
The little winky face in response to past is going to be the only thing I think about for a while tbh.
Excited to see the new items for Survival, and most of all if there are any new sweetheart pets! (My fave color.) Not that I have room right now, but. Someday I'm sure I will.

Yes, there have been enough resets for people to be on 2nd reputation tier for Wizard. Rumi and Maybel are gonna be possible in a couple resets too.

I quite liked the new questing system, a lot more convenient. the npc reputation is also a cool idea.
I think one of the things bothering me about the visuals on kumos are how the item images are shrunk down in a few places, quest page itself is an example, and the quest shop xx, the item images are small enough at 64x64 and they lose detail being even smaller :(

but in all seriousness, i always look forward to seeing how the strains change in their stages as time advances. it's fascinating
as for the (potential?) change in quests/questpoints/etc., i suppose it's not something i would notice all that much as-is, honestly.
and!! i echo the sentiment of appreciation for these things being mentioned in news posts since i am not exactly....... a frequent user of the forums lol

@Amber Thank you so much for the heads up about the possible changes to the quest system. Since I very rarely explore the forums I never find Keiths posts about things like this. If I remember correctly there was a news post that gave some kind of idea what this move to Kumos would look like. A timeline of milestones would be really helpful in giving us some kind of idea how close we might be to the final move. Will we ever get an updated version and could it be linked on the news page so it is easier to find. I am so excited for Survival. :) Can't wait to go shopping!
I think the old site quests will be with us for a while yet, the new kumos ones aren't even resetting for a week now and still in an alpha phase where they don't work reliably. Sometimes things go faster and sometimes slower. Sometimes something is "coming soon" one month and then a few years later it is still not here. Other times things just appear and are really cool (like auctions). As for the reputation system on the new quests, have there even been enough resets of the kumos site quests for anyone to be on even the 2nd reputation tier, so those haven't been tested nearly enough...
Keep in mind guys -- Its only natural we would be seeing delays in site events. The staff have been working on a lot of big projects this year!
Before freaking out over big changes, try to remember that we've seen a lot of positive things this year. We got Mysterious Melody back, we got an auction system, avatar contests, and a feature in the works to sort the 70,000+ items on the site.
I'm not saying you shouldn't voice concerns or suggestions, but lets all try to be considerate. I'm sure that there will be some of solution with the quest shop stuff.

Aw man, removing the questpoint system is pretty sucky imo, admitedly the seasonal items only being available well seasonally IS annoying but i'd rather them be made available year round rather than cut outright, also shouldn't stuff as big as this changes be more clearly mentioned by staff? like i appreciate the link to that thread but shouldn't stuff like that be mentioned on the news before popping up as a thread on the forums people are less likely to see? i'm sorry if i sound negative but these change don't sound too great, on the upside since this is just being considered i suppose it's ok as long as we get more of a warning(or get asked our opinion somewhere more of us may see i.e. the news page).
Tbh it might be cool if the old seasonal quest items go into their own specific shop like the antique shop, that way they're still available to buy, just for sP

I strongly suggest y'all read the quest thread I linked! There's mention of quest points and stuff there. It doesn't give a timeframe of when things will be pushed, which is why I wanted it on y'all radar here as this could be the last (or might not be!)

So after you stop making new seasonal quest shop items, we won't be able to get the old ones anymore consistently on a regular basis? Is the quest shop closing or just the seasonal tab?
I was half expecting to see a pet slots mention in there but always, we must hold our neelas a bit more.

Darn. I forgot to buy the Fall quest shop items and was planning on waiting until this fall to be able to get in there :(
