It's unfortunately very easy to spoil a movie for yourself.
Take Star Wars III. They had the book out before the movie and I made the mistake of peeking into it. I mean, we all know what happens, Anakin turns to the Dark Side, but why he did it we didn't know.
I spoiled that for myself.

This evening I'm going to watch the movie. The only thing I had heard so far are the standard things people say when a book is made in to a movie.
I don't mind people posting spoilers, as long as it is true. It would be nice if people give a spoiler warning in the header. That way people can avoid spoilers if they want to.

I know exactly what scene you're talking about Princess. xD And Araunas, i'm not quite sure you know what you're talking about. J.K. Rowling wasn't a famous author before writing the HP series. She completed the first HP book while she was unemployed and living off state benefits. She had been recently divorced and her mother had succumbed to MS. She hadn't written anything previous to the HP series.

wasnt the story spoiled when you al found out the writer isnt a poor old lady that wrote the book on coffee shop napkins but a quite popular and well known british writer? So why would you beleive anyone on anything about that story till it comes out and ya read it your dang self? has proudly only read 2 pages of the whole series

We are both freaks then, mah dear. Considering HP#7... I'm LOOKING for spoilers. One thing I hate over EVERYTHING, is a bad ending that's going to leave me feeling bitter and angry inside. That ::lost hope:: feeling is gross and I hate it. (I get very emotional over movies and books, is why. I personally don't believe in book burning, but damn if the ending turns out to make me an emotional wreck, my fireplace will be well fed <img src=http://www.subetax.org/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_raspberry.gif border=0>)<br />

I'm going to be turning right to a close friend who's getting the book to ask what happens in the end, before I buy it myself.
Well, actually I heard that there were 2 websites that 'accidently' shipped out the 7th HP book like a week before it was supposed to so some people got the book like yesterday and today in the mail.
On another note, the boxes that hold the books have alarms on them so they don't get opened early.

Geez...I just read the 7th HP book out of curiousity and I was on the Sb and everyone kept talking about the last book...really motivates me to finsih reading the series!XD sarcasm I mean, if a friend asks me..."How was the new ******** movie?" I'll give them my opinion...but not if they don't want to know!XD

Hmm, this whole thing happened a few weeks before twilight princess came out last year on the Wii and the GC. A tester gamer played it and posted, the whole game on the internet on his blog. Soon, the nintendo fourms were saturated by spoilers and spoiler pictures.
I never understood why people like to spoil things. Even though I don't like HP, I won't go spoiling the anticipation for anyone else. But here is what I did, try to forget what was said and try to convince yourself that the spoilers are wrong.

Based on the amount of comments left here because of the HP book... It is safe to say that I think a significant number of people (including me) will be absent from Subeta on Saturday. In fact I will not leave the house at all.

The problem is, that there are people not from UK or USA. People, who would prefer waiting for release in their country to reading the book in a foreign language. And THEY will have a really hard time now, trying to not see some spoilers...

You know, really, I don't believe anyone who says they have early access to those books, because that's a load of crap. A very few professionals were given the book to read and write reviews, but nobody working at a bookstore is granted an early look. The boxes are sent sealed and they are sent a certian amount that are to be sold to the public, not the employees.
Employees most always need to reserve their own books elsewhere. Professionals would be fired for revealing the ending of a book like that.
It's stupid though that people'll go through the trouble to lie about something so stupid. Best really to just laugh and ignore them.
