In DBs (HQs) defense, the error was fixed through most of the trivia time though. <img src=http://www.subeta.org/images/smilies/6398_emoticon_wink.gif border=0> Descriptions and names are sometimes changed on Subeta to correct previous errors/oversights/updates, and they are changed as the staff becomes aware of them. Are the questions checked before they're used to make sure they are actually correct/make sense?

Not as of late... there were a few that weren't Subeta related and not labeled as such. Very confusing.
Oh! And Fishing (I had forgotten that there even WAS a high score on THAT thing, it's been so long! XD), Item Identifier, and Item Scramble too!
I actually was a bit of an overachiever at one point! XD I was number one in Pete, Trivia, Random, Mage Quests, and Treasure maps long ago... and also high up on DM Dice at one time. I also was the richest user for like... two weeks at one point! XD
I'm assuming that this one is indeed still Subeta related. No special holidays that I'm not aware of.
And I also got some of those points back when the Trivias used to glitch and triple add and that, so that isn't 100% accurate... but then so did everyone else, come to think of it, so it all works out.

Yes, you can definitely answer a Trivia that you submit... but I can't answer the Trivias that everyone submits! XD I will answer if it's a complicated math problem and I don't look at the answer and work it all out on my own and get it right. If I mess it up and get it wrong then I just don't answer it.
Hah, I guess that makes sense... But I thought I saw someone ask you once if they can answer a trivia they submitted and you said, Yes. Have I remembered incorrectly?
Ummm... I can't really very well win if I add the Trivias! XD Unless it's a complete giveaway (which I don't bother entering either usually), or I have to answer it to test something.

No, check on the DB to find it, but then check on site for accuracy after you do. This isn't the first time that this has happened.

Erinellii, I think they work mostly from suggestions, so it just took one person submitting it wrong, and no one else ever really noticing.
Why would you rely on a fansite, as closely knit it is with the site. I always always double check spelling with the actual item/answer on the site itself, and if there's a difference, I mail Debi.

That's so weird that even the card doesn't say it that way though. If I was running the db you can bet I'd be copy-pasting descriptions, not typing them out! So much more work o_O
I double checked (with the book itself), ran into the problem, checked the actual card, and mailed Debi to make sure.
But if we can't relay on subeta DB (aka DATA base) what should we relay on?! Go through Subeta's every item and look it up in trades to see descriptions?! Is not like i can see descriptions anywhere else...in shops maybe? hmmm...nope.

Yeah, i see now that "doooom' was just a scary way of saying book of doom. There is no book of doooom. I need to remember to double-check, but truthfully when i find answers I'm just so relieved I've found them and fearful the trivia will end in the next two minutes.. i just don't.
I even bought a card for 20K and checked it myself to be sure. Although, on thinking about it, not being an idiot and simply checking the Staff items list would have worked too! XD
The description on the card itself is not spelled doooom. That was a typo. I pulled the card out of my vault to check, and it (along with the book itself), has it spelled "doom".

NOT FAIR! You either use the answer exactly how it says on the dang trading card, or not at all! Not fair! Not that i cared about the prize anyway, but i knew the answer. And if one looks at the answer the answer is dooooooooooom! Not doom.

Okay, I knew I'd run into format problems with that last trivia. Yes, there is an item called Book of Doom, but in the item description of the Library Trading Card, it's spelled with extra O's. Since that was where the actual answer was found (meaning Book of Doom's description says nothing about it not being in any libraries, while the card's does), I went with the multiple O answer. I am disappointed.
