What could be cute (but would probably have to be saved as a notion until next year) would be if the odds of being hexed decreased as time passed since your last trick or treating.

EG: First time, you'll get a treat. If you trick or treat immediately afterwards, 100% chance of being hexed. Each minute (or so) that you wait, the chance of being hexed drops down by 2% (or so).
