To everyone saying that this is inappropriate and may scar children on the site: Please. I joined when I was twelve. I already knew all about drugs, sex, hookers, swearing, crime, death, gore, etc. etc. freakin' etc. This site didn't influence me or raise any awkward questions with my parents. In fact, quite the opposite. It taught me what a sextant was and what a USB port looked like, and those are just a few of the things I learned.

You can get that woozy feeling without it being illegal. It's that you're breathing in the smoke, which is replacing some of the oxygen you intake as you inhale from the hose. So because of the lower oxygen, you relax and get that slightly light-headed feeling, which goes away the second you breathe in normally again.

Subeta states that users either need to be 13 or have parent's permission. It's clearly a PG-13 site, and I've seen many PG-13 movies with smoking references and in some cases blatantly showing people smoking.

I know =], and I think alcohol is fantastic. But the problem is a lot of kids under 18 and under 21 for each respectful category still do this stuff because its so widely popularized. I dont think someone heres gonna go 'oh hey I never knew about hookas I should go try one', but it is kinda further glorification of it, you get what I mean? I just think theres too many stupid kids on the internet who will think because somethings made by a site its an awesome thing to do underage.

I also took a trip to London last August and my hotel was near an Arabian/Muslim area and people were sitting at tables outside the cafes using hookahs in plain sight. I don't smoke anything or drink alcohol, but I like decorative bottles and stuff...and....surprise, surprise, one can actually find beauty (in the bottles designs at least) out of the ugliness of the bad habits. I am not a big fan of real life drinking, smoking, ect. but these are just graphics and this site has (as I understand it) always been a PG site and/or geared more towards older people. I think some people are taking some things here wayyy too seriously but on the other hand I can understand the concern...even though I don't have kids I have given a lot of thought to it before at different times so I do on some level understand concerned parents feelings. I'm a big fan of Alice In Wonderland (a fantasy/"kids story" that features a hookah at some point) and hookah bottles, even though I have a low opinion of smoking.

I had a hookah back in the 70's and I did try to explain that it was decorative, a work of art (it was made of silver crystal), yet when my mom came to visit I felt the need to hide it (LOL could be she saw right through me)
The reality was that there was all sorts of illegal resin in the bowl and I was wasting my time by putting lipstick on a pig!
Of course there is drama about the release of this item - and I have no doubts that the drama was gleefully anticipated by some folks.

I am absolutely in shock at some of the comments on here about this new item. To state that having a drawing of a hookah on here is encouraging the use of illegal substances is the most idiotic thing I've ever heard or read. GROW UP. Some people have these in their homes as decorative pieces (and some of them are indeed beautiful if you have ever travelled outside of your little world) and and nothing more. If people have nothing better to do than write on here about how much they don't like these items they really should get a life. Books are out there to read, sew, paint, whatever but please stop looking for something bad everywhere. Yes, my HA is wearing the hookah and yes he looks stoned but I assure you I personally have never smoked a joint or taken any other illegal substance in my life. However, I do know how to laugh and have some fun!

LOVE these new wearables! And hookahs can be used for many things, not just for smoking pot. Try going to Morocco...they're everywhere and they are mainly used to smoke herbal fruits and tobacco. Yes, you can choose to put cannabis in it, but it is NOT it's intentional use. People need to stop getting butthurt over the simplest of things. So we can have stripper poles and titty tassles but hookahs are a no-no? Give me a break.

Well, I am an American adult and this hookah definately reminds me of a 'bong' used for drug consumption. LOL
I also gave my 8 year old access to the site thinking it would be fun for him to play/interact with the pets, etc. I actually thought it was a site more for children.
Since first playing on the site, I have stumbled across sexually themed items and religeous/political items as well. I will be monitering the childs use of the site from now on.
My suggestion (as a site owner too) would be to limit access to the site for people 13 and older.
I also gave my 8 year old access to the site thinking it would be fun for him to play/interact with the pets, etc. I actually thought it was a site more for children.

I must say I'm surprised at this. After seeing the item on a user, I have to say the drug references on the wearable and the descriptions are highly questionable. I wasn't aware Subeta supported the use of illegal drugs and controlled substances. Disclaimer might be nice, I don't think anyone wants to lose the site again.

I'm going through, reading descriptions and I looked at how it looks on the HA. My best recommendation would be to put a disclaimer on the site about not supporting illegal drugs.

Wiki also mentions all the different cultures that use hookah's. Im not sure why the assumption/generalization is being made that they are primarily used for illegal drugs. Just voicing my opinion in what I considered a friendly debate. HOOKAHS are used in Hookah shops/cafes EVERYWHERE. They are perfectly legal. They are MAINLY used in masses to smoke tabacco out of. Yes, you CAN smoke other things out of them, but.. typically they ARE used legally.
This is just like walking into a shop that sells pipes and water bongs. They are selling them with the intent the buyer smokes tobacco out of them.
All legal.
If I was to get pulled over with my collection of homeblown glass pipes by the cops, I would get in absolutely NO trouble due to the fact there is NO residue from drugs on them.
I dont carry those with me... o.o xD
