In the previously unnamed Omen Islands a celebration has taken place every year, one to thank the goddess of the sea for her protection over the past year, and to give her offerings to ask for prosperity and guidance in the seas for the next year. This celebration was always closed off to non-native Omen Islanders, but this year, they have opened up their home and hearts to celebrate their culture with the rest of Subeta.
Starting today, Subetans can be a part of this festival in Delphi as well as in the Omen Islands themselves, if they know the way. Celebrate the power of water by soaking your friends with water balloons and pistols, sold by a festival vendor named Noijatat. While you're visiting her, why not have her paint your face in typical Omen Islander fashion?
If you find a golden trinket or relic, it's said to bring good fortune and prosperity to give such items to the goddess of the sea. Moana has set up an area on the coast of the Omen Islands to accept such items and offer you a small reward for your generosity.
In the spirit of celebration, the Islanders would like to wish you, "Yeyei'i ao vivi natatl,, which roughly translates to "Live the life of the sea." Have fun!

i was hoping on something like this! subeta's kind of boring without community-wide events like this.

why and the heck would you have a big event when we are having MAJOR lag issues? i mean i love the event and everything, but its not much fun when nothing loads.
I like the addition to the Island, think it will stay?

For those asking, I found my trinket like I did the flowers at the Vesnali event- they appear randomly on a page, and you click on them to get them.
To get to Omen Island, you have to complete the Uncharted Land Map (NOT the same thing as the Treasure Map!).

It's similar to the Bonfire event, how we'd throw red rreign items into the fire and usually get an item in return.

I don't understand paying to get the balloons and then randomly find the trinkets? Except for the achievements that come with it. I don't know I found one trinket when buying a balloon, so I'm not sure how to get trinkets. I just think it is odd you have to pay to get the balloons unlike the flowers and stuff.
