EPICon: New Games!
Hello, I'm Titania McGee with the Channel 5 News Team: your BEST source for Subetan news stories! Tension is running high at EPICon this year, with the focus of the week being the unusual challenge between video gamer Nico and tabletop advocate Manwar! EPICon has split itself dramatically between the two teams, and tempers are hot.
In the spirit of the competition, game developers Magicians of the Mesa (brought to wild popularity with their card game Alchemy: the Gathering) and Vega Corporation (known for the classic Turbo the Priggle) have rushed to set up the new games they brought to demo for the con! Unexpectedly, Manwar and Nico have commandeered the games of their respective flavor, and aren't allowing members of the opposing team to play! It seems, however, that Magicians of the Mesa and Vega are encouraging this competition to the limit, making no move to stop them!
The two new games are a card game version of popular tabletop RPG Mazes and Mahars, and a retro 8-bit defense game called Omen Raiders. Rumor has it that the heads of their respective sides will be doling out points for their team for doing well at the games, and the queues are getting deep! They look awfully fun, so I'd suggest interested con-goers get in line now!

Card game is great <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_grin.gif" border="0" /> a little slow as a main source of points though, I think I'll stick to restocking <img src="http://images.subeta.net/smilies/6398_emoticon_happy.gif" border="0" /> but I'd love to play both games after the war is over, I hope they stick around!

I have an alert saying I can play Mazes and Mahars again but the site won't let me. Something wrong with the coding, perhaps?
It said it was being beta'd, so I'm looking forward to them working out the kinks of everything! I enjoyed it (and squeed at the game since that's SO old school! I was expecting Pong, but heeee!)
Omen Raider is pretty fun and I FINALLY got some points for a my team! I find it difficult to get this this time around but all these lovely events have been really helping! Will Team Nico ever be able to play Mazes and Mahars, like say after the con/war?

Sigh, never mind, the array error & the message about my opponent trying to play a guardian card is back again, and my game is stuck again.... at this rate I'll never even finish 1 game, maybe I'll have to stick to restocking if it keeps glitching out on me ;~;

The card game is fun. I agree that two points is a bit of a wtf-moment when you finish. Still, it's beautifully made and works flawlessly even with a lot of traffic (I'm assuming there's a bazillion players right now).

FYI it worked on IE, but not on Firefox, so I'm assuming it's a browser compatibility issue for all those posts up there wondering.

The card game is pretty good (and the art on it is great; excellent job on that!) but that was a long fifteen minutes of clicking to get 2 RS points.

Ignore my last comment, after hitting continue 10 times or so, eventually my opponent played a different card .-. All fixed, I guess xD

Yeah same. I got my 2 points the first two times, but then I got my highest score and..0 points.

"Array ( [0] => 1 [1] => 2 [2] => 4 ) You can't play a guardian card while there's already a guardian in play!" My mazes and Mahars game seems to be stuck ;( I'm getting this error on my opponent's turn, when I try to click continue. If I hit back & try again, still get the same error. Looks like I can't do anything/continue playing/etc at this point. Anyone else get this?

Is there a minimum score? I just got 2420 and earned 0 restock points. Wondering what we have to get to get 1. I figured it'd be something like 1k = 1 point.
Ah cool its working now for me.. yay! We can send score 3x per hour I think I read after I sent score..

the game opens very very slow and only part of it shows i guess i better wait a bit until everybody has seen it lol
Man, I wish it was possible to switch teams by forfeiting your points for the other team or something... ever since I selected the video gamer I've been kicking myself. I'd rather play the tabletop game :/
