VIP Item of the Day + Wishing Shrub Achievement

Cuddle all night long with your very own Oatmeal beanbag, now in the VIP Lounge!

We saw that some of you were interested in the idea of having an achievement for having your own wishes granted, and lucky for you--we\'ve been tracking that data since day one! A new achievement has been added for having 5 of your wishes granted. This will be awarded after the event, but that data has been logged and your previous wishes granted will count towards this. A prize will be added to the achievement before the event is over!

I give up on this one!!! Greed is all this shows :( Bring cash and your Sp too.If all asked for something less costly then all would get this achievement.Pretty simple huh!!!

This wish shrub has been nothing but a waste and a pain in the ass.Its not fair we can't post one wish each day without getting that stupid ugly error experiment.Like I said somewhere that a person should be allowed to post a wish each day,and only grant wishes as an option (especially since people keep asking for outrageous items). I can't believe this event is almost over, and Subeta Staff failed to put blocks in place to end these high priced, impossible wishes.
I'm not rich, but I have spend an hour or something like that, to steer at the page end refresh it every second, to catch finely a wish who is realistic to grand. I feel me like kind of a fisherwoman...

Sadly I wont get that achievement because I can't add a wish or grant them. :'( The items wished for are way out of my price range. I guess this is an event for the rich...
WTH?! I tried to enter my wish for today and it says I have to grant a wish before I can make one of my own?! People are asking for ridiculously priced items...so now I cant even wish for something cuz I can't afford to spent upwards of 20 Mil on someone?

I haven't finished this comment and I'm already granted again. Thank you anonymous for the bone tail whip. :D
To grand someone else is a matter of patience. I must today almost cry from gladness, I could grand someone who asks an item I have easy granted with my questpoints. It's so nice compare with the long list of wishes more than 10 milion sp I have seen for more than a half a hour.
@ATrueHeart,
That's my experience too. The solution I figured out is klick back on page until you see the purple experiment #? again with the text "Oh no..." You ignore this massage and you click on "refresh this page". If it goes right you see than a blue text, "You have already grand and now you can make your own wish".
(!!!)
Hold that page for a moment make it small at your PC and make a second one. At the second page you go to Subeta again and then you go to your wishlists.
I make always a second page to see what I have at my wishlists. Than I sheck it out how many some item's costs at the moment before I wish.
Than apears a new thirth page how many an item I want costs at the shop's. On this way I can find reasonble wishes.
Than I can add my wish at the fist page I have hold from the wish-bush/tree and the other two page's I can klick away.
It's devious, but that's my solution.
Good luck.

Provided I can ever grant a wish to make my first one, I plan on wishing for something reasonable. xD

I am trying to grant a wish and I have the item in my inventory. How do I send it??? It only gave me five minutes so now what??

I haven't been able to place another wish since getting my first one granted and I can not afford to grant peoples wishes so I can get another turn. ;A; Could you not impose a time limit instead? Like, if someone got something worth 20 mill, they can't access it for 1-2 days before being able to wish again?
I want the achievement for granting 10 wishes and the fact that it would be a very expensive, hard to earn achievement is what made me want it.I like really hard to get achievements :) I wish we didn't have to grant wishes to make wishes though as not everyone wants the achievement, would be cool for people to just be able to score some free stuff :)

Managed to grant 10 wishes so will just sit back & hope I can get the other 2 of my wishes granted for that achievement (have 3/5). Yeah I wish there was a way to sort by price or something to make it easier.

Maybe the bush would be better if you didn't have to grant a wish to make a wish.. Since you only get one a day anyhow. I can't even put out easier wishes this way.
No matter how many wishes you grant, you can only make one wish a day, right?
No way I'm going to grant extra wishes if I can't make a wish in return. Maybe that seems greedy, but, as others have pointed out, have you seen the things people are asking for? x_x My wishes are getting granted because I ask for reasonable items. Srsly people. I want the achievements, but not if it's going to considerably bleed my bank.

But the rest of everything is fun, just nothing else to distract from trying to get a reasonable wish daily. If there was a mystery (and other achievements) afoot, I bet no one would care as much about what the bush was doing.
Someone put up a request I actually had already and couldn't use well with zombie skin anyway, so yay for being able to grant an achievement that was then somewhat reasonable. It would really be nice if there were some sort of sorting option.
Kind of hard to even get that achievement when you can only put in a wish after granting a (hugely expensive) wish. :/ It'd be nice if there could be a price cap or even a limitation to what items can be wished for...
I actually have yet to be able to afford even one that I've seen, haha. Maybe there should have been a "Show only ones you have enough to complete" function eue; Not that I blame people for putting their biggest wishes on it.

Well, still too expensive. Not going to buy dozens of millions items to (some) overly greedy people over and over again. -_-
Count me out. The wishes are still expensive enough that I'd be broke before I even come close to getting any achievements.

I don't think the achievement prize for getting your wishes granted will be worth it at all except to those receiving these awfully unreasonable wishes. This development makes it even more one-sided.

So I understand the point that we should give an item to receive an item in return. The problem I'm having with this is that I can't afford any of the items people are asking for so I will never get to make a request. I've been refreshing for hours, and still nothing :(

I totally agree that wishes not granted in the two hour span should be auto cleared. As someone said before the people who are more likely to cancel it are those who are making more reasonable wishes, as I'm sure those who want that very expensive item will wait it out in hopes some user 5 hours later will come on and give it to them.
I also think that if there is an auto clear, that person shouldn't be able to wish for the same thing in a row, as to limit their ability from rehashing the same item every 2 hours.

hmm, after careful thought...I have made a decision. I'm not worried about this achievement so long as the shrub is filled with 10mill sP+ wishes are littering it. I'm just going to grant the wishes I find on people's wishlists that I can. It was a great idea to get people to spread the love but a few bad eggs can ruin it for the rest of us.
However, to those generous people out there. Don't forget, there are always wish lists on people's pages if you feel like spreading good will. It may not get you an achievement, but it does spread the love and brighten someone's day every time. Trust me, I know from experience that there is NOTHING quite like having a wish granted by a kind stranger!
I've also started making a list on my profile for everyone kind enough to grant my wishes (don't grant my wishes BECAUSE of this post, that is not why I am typing this), that way I never forget their names and can go back to their wishlists often to see if they have anything on there that I can afford. We can make our own individual/community wishing gardens ^^

I'm really hoping I'll be able to grant a wish at some point during the event. It seems that the grant-a-wish-before-making-a-wish thing is every other day, yes?

Awesome that you guys really think about user ideas and implement them, but not every person is interested in achievements, there will always be people asking for expensive things - and why shouldn't they? There's no limit, and wanting to use a working system to get data that is worth a lot of data doesn't mean a person is bad in any way. People worry so much about other people when it is more important to change said system.
I wish you'd be able to hide certain items at the shrub. Maybe have an option to hide wishes that haven't been granted within 2 hours? Or you can manually add items to a certain blocklist? Maybe a user could even make CustomCSS to block them.
I've also noticed how there are certain wishes that always show up and refreshing the page will only replace few items. Sometimes there's just one new item when I refresh the page.
And I don't think you should see different people wishing for the same thing at the same time. Right now I see 20 of '500 CSC' wishes on one page for example and I think seeing it once should be enough.

I generally find that I post wishes for around what I was willing to spend. That makes me feel like I am not being greedy and that I am helping make someone else's day. I have been around this site for a long time, doesn't mean I am rich by any means, but it does mean I have the luck of having some extra items here and there to help me make a bit of money. I understand that it frustrates people to see expensive items up there, and trust me I feel that 50 mill plus items are unreasonable. What makes me sad is seeing how much this is jacking with the pricing system. A lot of the more reasonable rares are getting risen price wise as are the older CSC items that had begun coming down. Makes it a lot harder on the new players who want to pick some of those items up. Maybe if they divided the shrub so you could grant and ask for cheaper items and had a side for wishing for the moon, that way both sides could have what they want, but sadly with the prices the way they are now, it's harder to see where the price is or should be for these items.
Nope, not everyone cares about achievements (myself included). The problem is the achievements for getting them = sucking up all of them, so I really LAUGHED when someone suggested upping that too XDD
Grant one/give one or only allow people to grant one a day, or the shrub will always look like this.

Shows that not everyone is interested in gaining an achievement, they don't read the news or are just plain chancing their luck some poor soul will spend millions on a strangers whim.
Pity cash shop items are allowed.
This could of been such fun if it was set to only available items r1 to r99 from shops.

LOL, half of those items are either UB or 40+ millions. Things can't get better if we have to grant a wish before making one, cause who would want to gift something worth that much just to get a subQ invite in return? C'mon, change this stupid system!
This change seems to have done nothing to fix the issue. No one will be able to get to the achievement without granting the greedy wishes. For people looking for achievements, this is really sad.
I agree with most people here. Every time I check the bush, all of the wishes I are incredibly ridiculous. I mean, I have only been a member of the site for a little under a week and I know that asking for items you can't even buy in shops (which is what most people seem to be doing) is not only ridiculous but also kind of rude. You take up space with these ungrantable wishes making the whole process impossible to achieve. Their greed clogs up the whole bush making it impossible for people like me to grant a wish and therefore, never get to make their own wish.
I mean. With so many kind people on Subeta, I'm glad they look at your wishlist instead of this bush because somehow...only the greedy people seem to get their names up there.
I don't mean to be harsh, but this is three days now where I've seen nothing but implausible wishes on the bush. And a lot of them the same exact wishes.

ugh, half hour refreshing and finally a reasonable item. Greed is insane at the wishing tree :( I get everyone wants awesome items but there are so many great things that cost under 30 million

So uh, I appreciate this change (even though it doesn't seem to have done a ton of good) but I would really like wishes to expire automatically after 2 hours, because clearly people don't mind that they haven't been granted, anyone who would be willing to cancel is probably already asking for reasonable things.

Okay, I have been asking for affordable things but only been able to grant one wish, so today can't place a wish. Please can it be changed so that we can request a new wish each day even if we've not been able to grant one? Otherwise there's no incentive for people to put in affordable wishes - you may as well put in one greedy one and hope for the best. It would improve things for everyone. Perhaps let people who have granted wishes have extra wishes themselves when their own has been granted to encourage people to still grant them?
Well this stinks.. can't afford to grant any of these wishes... I was actually one of the ones asking for cheap things.. like below 2 mil .. common sense people!! USE IT!

Awesome! This should encourage people to make reasonable wishes.
And I really wish I was a VIP! That beanbag is adorable!
And I really wish I was a VIP! That beanbag is adorable!
I totally agree with muerte, Instead of limiting the price you should auto clear items that have been in there a specific time. Like the being able to take yours out after two hours, why not just have them removed auto? So then at least we dont see the pile of 80mil items all day while trying to gift people.

Keep calm and F5. The wishes are out there, you just have to refresh people. I've seen plenty of wishes for under 250K sp and I don't have time to sit here all day either. Once you refresh about 3-5 times you learn to just filter out all the gift cards and 50 mill items. New ones stick out like a sore thumb. Once you stick limits on shit you're just asking for more problems. A. The average prices are completely jacked up. 2 mill average items "sold today" are actually more at the 50 mill mark and I've seen vice versa on some of the "newish" items. Limiting that would just make it even worse. B. Some items aren't for sale but are easily obtainable by people like me who have plenty of points saved up in event prizes. Some basically priceless books are really only just a few points. Sure I could buy them and put them in my shop for 5 years waiting for someone to spend 50 mill on it, or I can simply buy shit tons of them and give them as wishes. I'd rather do the second so I'd be pretty sad if they were taken out of the pool, especially for those who weren't around for the events.

Strawberry Blondie cake? Really? People need to calm these unbuyable wishes.XD I'm throwing cheap wishes when I can (like the dip dye. Thank you to whoever filled that one and I hope you got your own wish fulfilled!) but the ridiculous items people want prevents more reasonable items from being added more often that always get picked up fast.
I'm sorry, I'm not buying you a hair coupon, a mini-vending machine (just vend for the achievement! It's easy to knock out 250 vends that can be flipped for profit! You make about 250 (reg)/350 (GA) tokens if you do all the wiz quests daily!), or any achievement prizes.

Hmmmm... now I'm wishing we could see what wishes we've granted along with the ones granted for us.... Because while I didn't think I'd been able to grant any wishes... I already did the hidden easter egg thingy but my
Amber Fossil is nowhere to be found... so I'm starting to suspect that I was able to make a wish yesterday because I must have accidentally given it away in my clickings.... :/ I don't remember seeing/clicking on one in the wish bush... but I don't know why else it would be that I can't get one/don't have one....

I think it would be a good idea to increase the number of people who can ask without granting first - or even let everyone make one wish a day without granting like the description says. Having so many more wishes to choose from would bring the average price down, as well as stopping people from feeling (rightfully) bitter about having to grant first when other people are getting 'free' wishes.
In my opinion, adding an achievement for having your wishes granted just adds to the problem, since you can't actually make a wish unless you can find one to grant. I think the only real solutions would be a limit on the cost of the wish, or allowing people to make wishes even if they don't grant any. Both solutions still have their problems. Very few Subetans can really afford to grant 50 to 100 million in wishes (assuming a 5 to 10 million sP limit per wish), and it is nice to allow people to wish for that unbuyable item that they've been wanting forever but simply can't find. On the other hand, just letting people make their wish every day means that they have no responsibility to grant wishes. Of course there is still the incentive of the achievement, so reasonably priced wishes would still have a good chance of being granted. Personally, I would really like to see wishes of 1 million sP or less (not all, but at least many) so that non-wealth Subetans have a chance to fulfill the achievements.
While there are a few buyable wishes, by the time I find one, someone else has taken it. And now with the single wish claim change, I can't even really look. Of course, it isn't okay to allow people to just claim dozens of wishes at once. I had originally assumed that if you clicked the back button, you also unclaimed the wish even before the time limit. I don't know how much coding would be required, but it would be very helpful if it could work that way, so you could at least search for something that you can afford to give. (I'm assuming that there are many other Subetans who don't know the price of an item just by looking at its picture.)
Just my thoughts. Thanks for listening.
