Scootle Rainbow!
Well, you certainly have been busy! So many new scootles have bonded with Nature Hikers, it really does appear that they’re ready to be our pets! I’ve also been very successful with the potion testing. Behold, a scootle rainbow:
Oh, one more thing: it appears that wild scootles are genderless - but they do not keep this trait if they are changed into another species. How interesting! I can’t wait for the Subetapedia article!

These colours look amazing! Although I do like the common one, my favourites of the recolours are lilac, vibrant and marsh but they all look pretty great! :)
I really love the look of the vibrant scootle, as well as the common one. The gold one is nice too, because of the rainbow growth on the shell.
For anyone who is confused about bonding with the scootle: After you click on it in the first area of the Nature Hike, don't click on it again. If you do, you'll get a message saying wait until tomorrow. Clicking multiple times makes the scootle run away. If you leave the nature hike and come back after clicking only once or twice, the scootle won't be there. That's normal. Go to the second area of the hike on the second day, and click on the scootle only once. Repeat the process in the third and fourth areas for the following days. When you've bonded with the scootle, clicking on it on day four will allow you to adopt one if you have an available pet slot. And that's it!
I am going to assume that if wait a while after scaring it off, like a day or two, that the scootle bonding activity should reset, and you should be able to try again. I don't know if this is the case, but I hope it is.

Not seeing any the last two days on my hike. Even abandoned a lab rat to have an open pet slot thinking that would help...

These are quite lovely, but I wish there had been some indication that you aren't supposed to click on it more than once. I honestly thought, from what it said, that I had done something wrong or it hadn't registered that I clicked it, and when I clicked it again, it ran off and didn't come back today.

So if you adopt one and change it into something else, does its gender get randomized? Or do they have a unique snail gender (which makes sense, given how snails+slugs often work in real life)? I don't know if I'd ever have one of these as-is, but it would be a really appreciated work-around to buying a Genderless Berry. :')

They're adorable! I'm glad one of them bonded enough with me for me to take them home today. I think I'm going to turn them into gold, I really like the rainbow flower. :)

@Solsticesprite it's correct, more of a yellow-orange that orange-yellow, taken from the irises of most pets that color. The Hipottu and Tigrean shade gets darker with the Aeanoid being the darkest.

This one time, I found a snail on a log near some mushrooms, and I thought maybe it ate mushrooms, so I picked bits off and put it right in front of its face (or what passes for a snail's face), and he ATE THE MUSHROOM.
He took tiny bites and I could see the little mushroom bits going up through his transparent head.

I just brought home my Scootle Bulletproof :heart: Now to decide on the color, although I may keep her* common because yellow is my favorite color!
*I'm keeping her genderless but using she/her pronouns for her :heart:
She's going to be a special pet for me, because a few hours ago, my mom and I had to put our old bloodhound to sleep after many years together... and her name was Scooter. Bulletproof isn't going to be an out and out memorial pet since Topper is kind of a memorial for all my doggos, but her profile will be something about resilience and keeping on through tough times, hence her name :)

Yay colors! I will take my time deciding for sure. I may not get another Scootle because I still am hooked on Blobs, lol. There are never enough pet slots!
Love all these colors! So many pretty color combinations to choose from! I decided on Dusk as a temporary color for my Scootle. Hoping to see some special colors down the road!
Aqua, Cream, and Vibrant are definitely my favorites. I wish that Silver and Twilight were a bit more distinct from each other (a lighter-colored shell on Silver maybe?), but overall they all look great. :D
Ahhhhh! Which one do i want? Vibrant was what caught my eye first but then I saw that multi color flower on the gold and now they all just look so pretty.
I knew the vibrant one was going to look cool. I don't really like the vibrant colour scheme but I just knew it was going to do good things for the scootle.

MC pet slot #8, bought! i was hoping a marsh one would exist soon, wish granted! i've been waiting for 3 years for the perfect pet for a The Neverending Story tribute (my son's name is Bastien) and this is it! if anyone remember, there was a racing snail and it was soooo adorable :O scootle is perf for it!!
