Family History

Rosie's parents first met shortly after Joséphine graduated from L'Académie de Magie Beauxbâtons. Joséphine and her younger twin Théresa traveled through Europe for several months and their first stop had been in Inverness. The Northern Roots Festival had been going on and the 2 sisters enjoyed dancing to the fullest to the diverse music. This is when Rodric first saw Joséphine and her ethereal appearance and apparent joy and happiness had him captivated. That night they danced and danced and danced until they couldn't anymore. Rodric was bewitched with her beauty, grace and her ability to make him smile with genuine joy. It had been a hard few years up to then for him and this night would be one he could never forget.

The following morning found Rodric down with a hangover and memories which could not be real. However after swallowing some painkillers, drinking plenty of water and a good breakfast later he saw Joséphine strolling down the street, his street, with her twin. He raced after her and even though he physically felt like death his heart loudly beat and felt lighter than ever. They three spent the next four days together before Joséphine moved on with her travels. The trio exchanged information, cellphones luckily existed and the twins were obsessed with muggle technology, and promised to keep in touch.

Joséphine traveled to St. Petersburg, Budapest, Stockholm, Barcelona, Athens and most of Italy and France before settling in Vienna where she entered the Vienna State Opera Ballet. Théresa returned home to the Château de Birkenwald in the French Alsace to help her father's research. It would be several years before Joséphine and Rodric married and returned to the family estate. Rodric took on Joséphine's family name and soon learned of the very real magic the Chalifours possessed.

Rosie Moments

Rosie was 3 years old when her family realized she was in fact a Metamorphmagus. Generally she was known for her sunny temperament and positive emotions. However on this particular day she was distressed, extremely distressed. In the family home garden she had been watching a number of baby birds. That day the nest had been upturned. She had seen feathers all around the tree and even one of the dead parent birds. Luckily one of the baby chicks had survived, but with no parent around they were sure to die soon. She scooped it up and ran to her parents. She teared up and asked them to save the baby bird. In her panicked state her hair gradually but quickly shifted to a deep blue black colour and her usual bright green eyes became grey. All over her face and arms freckles sprouted and thus her parents realized something special was up. Rosie continued pleading unaware of the changes to herself. Once she calmed down her hair and eye colour didn't return. It wasn't until the little chick was healthy that she brimmed with joy and her hair and eyes returned to their normal vibrant hues. Not all off the freckles on her small body subsided and she has kept them there since. Over the years Rosie has learned a lot about the inborn ability and has considerable control. In her first years at Hogwarts she liked to constantly and consciously alter her hair colour, but has since calmed down.
