Born in the very late 1600s into a large family in the Romanian countryside, Lilith was once known by a different name, one that was treated like praise when said to her parents - she was their blossoming flower, compassionate and diligent, the ideal daughter. She helped to tend to her younger siblings and seemed to be on the path to becoming a perfect prospective wife for many young men in their village, vying for the attentions of the most beautiful girl for miles around. Nevermind that they could be marrying into what would be considered money, if they could have her hand, as her family owned land and had a prosperous cherry orchard that brought food and trade.
All of this culminated into disaster for not only the young beauty, but for her family and her village both. The prosperity and wealth of the family, the growth of the village, and the rumors of the gorgeous eldest daughter all brought ruin in the form of a gentleman, tall and dark and handsome. This man charmed his way into the village, earning their trust, affection, and admiration in short order - he was clearly well-educated, well-spoken, and well-mannered, and not a single soul was any the wiser. Though she did not fall for him, head over heel like so many other girls her age, this young lady was one of the many oblivious to the wolf they had infiltrating their flock:
The entire village was put under a vampire's thrall.
An improperly sired vampire, himself, the man that called himself Antolie always found himself starving for blood, draining his meals more and more with every victim. Now, he had an entire village under his command, one that had constant traffic coming and going, all traders, vagrants, and people that the villagers would never question the disappearances of. Surely they were merely heading on to their next destinations? In between these meals, he would feed on the women of the village - no matter the age. It sated his desires in more ways than one, but the one that he desired most of all still had not bent fully to his will.
It was the start of the downward spiral, until one bloody night. Midsummer, the orchard's family was hosting a celebration in their home, half the village present, none the wiser towards what was about to happen to them. Late in the evening, a knock came on their front door, where the youngest son came to answer and gave their unexpected guest entry into the home - a fatal mistake.
The rest of the village had already been massacred. Antolie came, now, to this party, to finish off the rest, and get his bride by force.
While their sister tried to defend them, each of her remaining, younger siblings were torn from her hands as the partygoers were hunted down for sport one by one. Friends, family, all of these people she had known her entire life, all of them were bled dry in front of her, before Antoile bestowed upon her the curse of the vampire: he drained her to the point of near death, then fed her his own blood, and the blood of her family. She became the sole survivor, but at a cost.
Months of her rebirth as the undead were spent catatonic due to the trauma, with the physical mark of it being a shock of white growing into her hair as time went on. Antoile tended to her, regardless, pampering her and dressing her like a doll as he fed her blood from who knew where. Barely any memories remained from that time - just the nightmares of her siblings screaming her name, and Antoile pressing whispers of it into her ear like benedictions. Slowly, however, she came back to herself. Slowly, she began to formulate a plan against her "husband," her sire, continuing to feign her catatonia even as she regained her agency.
Any time he left their manse, she packed up and prepared, planned, getting herself ready for her escape. The final piece was to hide a dagger under her thigh, up her skirts, and to wait.
When the moment finally arrived, she couldn't take Antoile's life... but she did manage to take his eye, permanently blinding him on one side, and she got out.
But for as big as Romania was, for as big as Europe was, nowhere would be safe from him. Not until she was able to feel that he was dead and gone. So she decided to wipe her life clean, leaving behind the girl she was and starting her trek across countries with any means that she could, desperate to get as far from Antoile's reach as possible. When she made it to Amsterdam, it still wasn't enough - so she boarded a ship to the United Kingdom, and then continued onward to the New World. Years were spent trying to acclimate to her new life in America, traveling through colonies, then states, slowly moving further and further inland as the British became the Americans and interloped on land that was not theirs.

One of Lilith's working girls in the saloon, Isabella - Bella - came to her with hardly anything but the clothes on her back. Looking at a beautiful girl with nothing to her name, one that'd lost everything and needed to find something, she offered her a job after a drink on the house, seeing something from an old wound in the ex-pirate. Adopted into The Last Drink's little makeshift family, Bella was slowly introduced to the more supernatural aspects of the place, though was never offered the bite or forced into it, allowing her to live her humanity that Lilith guaranteed the girls would be afforded for as long as they desired. If they want to join the vampiric coven that operates the saloon, then they are allowed to ask for it.
Though she has no favorites amongst her girls, caring for each of them equally, protecting them with the same ferocity where they need it, she always finds herself resonating with the ones that come from similar circumstances to her own. She also finds Bella's spark of life to be one that should be encouraged, even if the girl's found herself landlocked instead of on the sea. It brings something to the dry desert surroundings of Prosperity.
With an eventual pregnancy and life-threatening birth came complications, though. To ensure that Bella's newborn daughter, Clementine, could keep her mother after they had to have her cut open for the delivery, Lilith offered to sire the new mother when sepsis attempted to claim her. Now, Bella might not be able to run in the scorching high noon sun any time soon, but she can listen to Clem's laughter under The Last Drink's roof, with all of them, every day.
