Standing upon a rock overlooking White River, Talsgar, the eldest male and leader of the Goldenmane clan, pondered his recent visit to see Arngeir, the head of the Greybeards at High Hrothgar. Things hadn't been the same since he had killed the first dragon outside Whiterun and had heard a voice boom "Dovahkiin!" from the heavens.

It was only then that the Jarl of Whiterun had told him that he was the Dovahkiin, or Dragonborn, and that the voice was summoning him to High Hrothgar to meet with the Greybeards. The meeting hadn't gone well and Talsgar had barely been able to prevent himself from saying some of the things he had been thinking and, at one point, had actually started to become impatient with Arngeir's ramblings about his responsibilities, dragons and the like.

A voice from within began to speak to him. "You know that Arngeir is right my young warrior. We have to tread carefully and not rush into things if we are to succeed in defeating our foes."

It was very rare that Julianos, the God of Wisdom and Logic, spoke to Talsgar so openly, but he knew that what Julianos said was true. His impatience and high-spiritedness had gotten the better of him, yet again, but the young warrior was primed for battle and would be ready when the time was right. Talsgar knew, from what Arngeir had said, that the odds were against them and that the threat from Alduin and the other dragons was very real indeed. His training in the art of dragon shouts had already begun though and he was quickly proving his worth as Dragonborn to the Greybeards.

Unfortunately, Talsgar was also painfully aware that he would have to fight side by side with his younger brother, Simurgh, who he was already training for battle, and also many of their colleagues - some of whom probably wouldn't survive the beastly onslaught.
