Once upon a time a greek dryad fell in love with a simple gardener. Theirs is a tumultuous tale that will not be told here. This is about their one offspring.

Koine seems at first glance to be a rather ordinary hippie, and at the second glance, and third. He wears tie dye, worn jeans, and tinted glasses, eats organic, dabbles in soft drugs, and hitchhikes wherever he goes. His worldly possessions fit in his backpack with the exception of his guitar. He is perpetually mellow, wise, and kind, nothing ever seems to upset him.

Koine is rather famous in hippie/new age circles as a musician and singer, mostly of folk music but he will play whatever he feels like. Fame hasn't affected him, as he still hitchhikes to his own shows and often knows many his fans on a first name basis. As a traveler he has made many friends on the road, people he has connected with or helped in some way.

This all hides his true nature as a half-dryad. He has some of his mothers powers: the ability to communicate and control plant life. Not that he would ever control them, he prefers to ask nicely and they will usually comply. This is a useful ability when one is as much a free spirit as he is; food, shelter, directions, even companionship. It even helps him with other peoples troubles. And people always seem to have troubles. With just a knowledgeable nudge or two in the right direction though, Koine can fix a person's life before he drifts away again.

Koine is a rather tall glade devonti with some muscle definition. His hooves and fingertips match his curled horns. His green hair is long and often falls in front of his face. Tinted shades, usually pink, are always worn. He keeps his body fur shaved expect for his lower arms and legs and tail, which he lets long. Flowers are tied into his fur, and the scent of incense seems to cling to him. He wears worn jeans and t-shirts that are not always tie-dyed, long sleeved shirts and an oversized jacket are for colder weather. He carries his few belongings and supplies in an old patched backpack that has never failed him. His acoustic guitar is kept in its own case that has plenty of useful pockets.
