-Personality-

Darts is a modern firecracker. High-spirited, it's hard to bring her down under any circumstances. This is usually a deterrent for most people, as since being so 'happy' often annoys others. She isn't bothered by other people's moods or thoughts towards herself and usually just gives them a 'eat poop' sort of answer. Very independent, she relies only on herself for her needs; if anyone were to offer her help, she'll usually deny it. A bit stubborn in that respect, it quite like pulling teeth to get her to ask for help. Even when faced with peril, Darts will deny help of any kind, especially from a man.

Although she's considered an adult in today's society, she very much doesn't act her age in her generation. Childish, immature and impetuous, she's the kind of person who is quick to annoy, but alternatively, the one having all the fun. Being independent, she has found numerous ways of entertaining herself, even when people are, or are not around; and doesn't care if those around her are bothered by her behavior or actions. If someone is bothered by what she does, and ask her to stop, she will only do whatever it was more, just to ride on their nerves some more.

Along with this habit to annoy, Darts also has no personal space respect. She will touch, hang on, or even hug a complete stranger with no rhyme or reason. Her 'personal bubble' is very small, and often pops others'. Needless to say, if she is confronted in a manner where she is meant to defend herself, she is very skilled in her defenses. She can easily take down someone twice her size using only her defensive maneuvers; though, she has a knack for using her silver sais instead. Though, not a cold-blooded killer, Darts has killed before and doesn't regret; she won't explain the circumstances either, saying 'it's too complicated' and moving onto a different subject.

That being said, Darts does have a secretive side, where her answers to questions can be vague and misleading. Parts of her life she doesn't wish to reveal, and there in won't talk about or avoid subjects that might lead to such questions. If pressured to answer something she doesn't want to, she will react violently, or simply leave. Her wings make for a quick get-away and there in help her in situations where she needs to get out and get out quick. She often gets into these situations thanks to her job as a underground poker card dealer, many times having to flee due to raids or shootings. However, she'll always come back to her job, no matter the risk; she loves the game too much and won't give it up.

Brief Explanation:
Defect demons are much like the subspecies Artificial Angel, though varying in the fact that this subspecies is more likely to be able to have flight capabilities, along with being more numerous. Quite like Artificial Angels, defect Demons were 'created' by taking the wings/horns/tails of demons and fusing them to a host. Because demons were more numerous and had a higher fusion success rate, this made Defect demons also more successful at thriving and becoming 'popular' among the population. Although this did not make their species as popular as Werewolves or even cyborgs, it does put their population numbers higher than artificial angels.

Defect demon are called 'defective' since there are a few quirks among their species that make them less like demons, but not quite hybrids either. For example, they are 'fire resistant' however, cannot harness the power over fire, or breathe fire themselves, ie, are defective. Most can fly, though some, like artificial Angels, just have wings for 'decoration', though most defective demons will use them to their advantage and have their wings act as a fire blanket, or a shield against a acid storm. However, against light, a defective demons' skin is less durable, and often frail and easily penetrable. If you plan on killing a defective demon, do it during the daylight and on a roof top; if you can find one there during the day. Light bulbs are not as effective as solar power.

Much like the artificial angels, a defective demons' attributes cannot be passed along to offspring and are unique to the individual who fused with the demon's parts. It is long believed that even if someone has no bad blood with a person who is a 'artificial angel', or perhaps is a complete stranger to them, they will feel an intense hatred for said person, making Artificial angels and Defect Demon near impossible to co-exist. A Defect Demon may be able to control their impulses for a time, but eventually, if one stays around an artificial angel for too long, a brawl will break out and the defective demon will attempt to kill the artificial angel. However, other species have a neutral emotion towards and can easily co-exist.

: Prologue :


In the year 4257, things are very different from the norm. Demons and Angels fight for the wayward souls of the tainted world which is being torn apart by it's inhabitants. Obsessed with genetic engineering, people have modified their forms to reflect their favorite myths. Now, the pure human race fights for survival among all the genetically engineered subspecies, becoming the lowest on the food chain when it comes to vampire, werewolves and cyborgs. Although everything is peaceful at the moment, the underground stirs with trouble, talk of each species's ploy to overthrow the other spreads like wild fire. Many hold pride in their species, and do not wish to fall prey to another. They get defensive, think of ways to protect themselves, look to their leaders for guidance and turn to perfecting their species to be able to prevail.

But who will win in the end? Will vampires find a cure to their allergy to solar rays? Will Were's find a way to keep their form beyond moonlight hours? Will cyborgs overthrow with their unbreakable strength? or will the death springers consume them all? Is this the end of humanity as we know it? or do humans still stand a chance?... Only time will tell.
