Discover what lies beyond this day, to seek your future, to accept your fate.
The world is ours, time its mere opposer. We can see what we want to see, but the future the gods have given us cannot be altered. Our knowledge of our fate fills us with a sense of purpose. But, with the wrong intention, it may lead to one’s downfall.
Unfortunately, not everyone is gifted to see with the eyes of God and to speak his words. Everyone is blind. But those who opened their souls to the magic of the gods… those are the ones who see and share in the beatific vision of God.
The very ones they abhorred were those who saw eternal bliss. Pure ecstasy.
Look at the orb and discover your fate.
Though it may not be changed, it can be accepted.
You looked at the strange orb in front of you. Fog filled it, concealing anything that might be inside it. The Mahar behind was looking at you intently, stroking the glowing sphere as gently and delicately as if it were alive. She was a beautiful thing, with sharp eyes that shone brighter than the sun and majestic wings that stretched as far as the skies could reach.
With a flick of her tail, the fog vanished inside the orb and suddenly revealed what seemed to be nothing and everything all at once. The deepest, darkest revelations about human folly… the hearts of men that turn rotten… the innate inclination of man towards the good… everything about life, about humanity, about the universe -- all of them swirling in that nebulous fog inside the orb.
You stood there, mesmerized as the images blurred past you in a blur. Everything was beautiful and ugly.
Then just as angels sing in perfect harmony, the Mahar spoke.
“The orb grants the power to see your fate. What lies beyond is completely, distinctively, personally, for you.”
The fog in the orb vanished. At that moment, a void seemed to fill your heart. The future calls.
“Why don’t you give it a try?”
