Hi there! My name is Jean and I'm a relatively new Subeta user, who was introduced to the site by my good friend Pooka.
Originally born and raised in Illinois, I've been living for the past nine years in Texas. Yes, both places have their pros and cons, but I have a love for each, and call both home.
Professionally, I'm an Archivist and Librarian at a small (though accredited) art museum in a little rural West Texas town. It's a bit of a hidden, unexpected gem in what some would probably call the middle of nowhere.
My passion is horses and riding. Compared to many, I came to it late, but it has been worth the wait! I've been riding for about eight and half years, and have more recently been working in the English saddle. Three years ago I finally realized a life-long dream, and bought my first horse! She's a gorgeous gray half-Arabian named Skyler. She can be a little high maintenance (that alert and active Arabian mind is a challenge), but I love her to bits and am learning a lot from her. -
