Tigrean Revamp + Spectrum/Blacklight Irion
The basic tigreans have been updated based on your feedback. The bloodred, chibi, and darkmatter versions have also been updated to match. Thanks for your help!
But we aren't done! It's been a revamp-heavy month, why not have a brand new pet, like the spectrum and blacklight irion?

I also cannot help but wonder why the heel claws are so ****ing TINY! They might as well not even be there.
Olawd thank the heavens for making that huge arse nose smaller. Overall, better than I was expecting shivers at the polled Tigrean revamp image. Very happy that the DM Tigrean still has those same characteristics as the old one. I'm still not too fond of the basic one, though. I have mixed feeling on the chibi, but I will definitely need a bloodred now. Glacier is my favourite colour for Tigreans. So, we'll see how good the new one will look. I'll be watching.
I liked the old lion king style drawings. So I put my collection of Tigreans up for adoption. I really don't like the new ones. There goes 5 pets
Oh my gosh, these are gorgeous. One of my pets is definitely becoming a darkmatter tigerean now.
The only thing I don't really care for with the new Tigrean revamp are the eyes. Something really throws me off with them... They're not proportionate. Take a look at a real life picture of a tiger and re-do the face, to sort of match it.
Other than that, I really do like the revamp. Lots of people do, and lots of people don't like it. I think everyone has a different view of what a Tigrean should look like. I however always viewed a Tigrean to look pretty similar to this revamp. I didn't like them before when they first got revamped years ago.

I really like the bloodred tigrean, the base colour and underbelly colour are looking great on my screen. It's one of the few bloodreds I'd consider getting if I had the room.
What's up with people hating on the new Tigreans? I think they look so much better. The old ones were pretty goofy looking...

This Tigrean revamp is AMAZING and I'm so, so happy the artist took so many of our comments into mind... reminds me what an amazing site this is. The new art is gorgeous- I love felines but I've never been impressed with the Tigrean, but now I definitely plan on getting at least one (looking at you, chibi Tigrean). The paws on the chibi one are adorable and I love how the artist kept the poses of the dark matter and BR one as well. Not to ignore the Irion either- both are absolutely lovely! I love those huge fluffy tails and the gorgeous wings.
I feel like it's a shame the irions got edited into the same news post as the tigreans, because the irions are absolutely precious! I want to cry, I've wanted to see a spectrum irion ever since I joined subeta and I don't even have the space for one. ;-; My only critique is that somehow the art for them looks a little blurry? But it's still precious, and I'm so happy wth the outcome!
hagane, I both love and hate you for your beautiful Irion fluffy feathers :C I seriously don't have enough ideas for all the cute pets that I want. STAHP XD

The mouth on the BR one is wonky, but otherwise I'm loving the revamp! o3o Amazing job, artist!

holy shit the new tigrean is gorgeous i love it wow 10/10, i never thought i'd want a tigrean but I KIND OF REALLY WANT A CREAM ONE
the art quality is SO much better and i just. prefer this design/attitude SO MUCH MORE aaa. the old tigrean's expression was... kinda weird. i love this new one it just. is amazing. it looks powerful without being bulky like the archan, the stripes are so niiiice and the face i love the face!! i love how much personality it shows oh man, the expression just. IT LOOKS DANGEROUS??? I love it aaaa i just really dig this revamp wowee.

AND THOSE IRIONS??? ohhhh man they are gorgeous!! the pose is pulled off so well omg, i love the way the front legs were handled especially THEY'RE JUST SO CUTE?? and also the back legs are really cute oh my god just this pose is so great. the rainbow feathers are fab and i absolutely LOVE the way the spot markings were done, especially on the blacklight ugh they are so gorgeous it's ridiculous!

The missing eyebrows and hair-tuft make the forehead look huge. Glad my only tigrean hasn't been re-drawn yet and has an overlay anyways.

How the hell is the new Tigrean a "generic tiger"? Let's compare:
Common Tigreans have unnatural red fur, darker red wing-shaped stripes, yellow dewclaws on both ankles, a fluffy tipped white tail, no whiskers, different ear shape, slanted eyes opposed to typical almond-shaped cat eyes, and fairly lean body composition when compared to a real tiger.
There isn't anything generic about this revamped cat. I've also never understood what defines a Subeta pet. Does the pet have to have a faint SUBETA PET insignia somewhere on its body, telling users and people that this pet is from Subeta and not anywhere else?

It's not the pets were "too cartoonish" it is that they were too sugary. The pets here are still a bit cartoonish, but more serious while brimming with personallity. But when you start to make something more realistic looking, it starts to lose personallity, which is why I'm not a big fan of "realistic." I really hope nothing like this happens to Lasirus. The chibi is definitely cuter than before. And I love how the dark matter by Tigrean's paw is like DON'T HURT MEH!
