Tigrean Revamp + Spectrum/Blacklight Irion
The basic tigreans have been updated based on your feedback. The bloodred, chibi, and darkmatter versions have also been updated to match. Thanks for your help!
But we aren't done! It's been a revamp-heavy month, why not have a brand new pet, like the spectrum and blacklight irion?

The new Tigrean looks just amazing! Such an elegant pet, now. And I specially like the fluid movement of the pose in the darkmatter color. I think I will adopt a Tigrean now :)

Absolutely love the Tigrean revamp. Superb detail, absolutely brilliant art. The tweaks that have been made the poll version are perfect. I just love it. I never normally comment on revamps but I felt compelled to here. I have never felt the need to go out and change my pets form because of a revamp but that darkmatter tigrean is just absolutely amazing and I feel I shall have to turn Digby into one! Thank you to the artist. Amazing work.

So since I read 250 comments with a lot of them calling the tigrean 'masculine' I would like to point out that it's not more masculine. In fact I believe the tigrean is more sleek and more feminine than before. So thanks CallaSoreon for calling the sleek argument bs.
Sleek

I'd say the highlights give it a smooth and glossy look
2) (of a person) Having a wealthy and well-groomed appearance
Not a person but the Tigrean looks well groomed to me
3) (of an object) Having an elegant, streamlined shape or design
Oh so the elegant streamline look only works for things like toasters and neckties? Okay. Even if it does the front leg is a lot more sleek than the original species, so is the curve of the back, and the tail. The shape is much more streamlined, and the pet holes way more elegance than it did before.

I think it's partly the fact that it doesn't have big 'doe' eyes anymore throwing people off. Curved lines create a sense of calm in a peace as compared to sharp ones, curved lines are also more associated with a feminine figure as compared to a masculine one if you draw. The tufts at the end of the old one's face was always very sharp and the tufts at the top of his head were rather boyish. This new Tigrean has gained smooth legs which are less bulky than the ones before. The ribcage doesn't actually look much wider but it does have more of a curve going back to say that it hasn't gained too much mass it's just rearranged where some of that mass was.
The old Tigrean kind of looked like an awkward 12-13 year old boy just hitting puberty. I always thought that the glacier one did a pretty good job of looking more feminine but for the most part they reminded me of some boy I'd see picking up their skateboard, throwing on a baseball cap backwards, and jumping off a ramp with their missing tooth grin.
This new Tigrean can look masculine at times, no doubt, but she looks kind of like she has that royalty stance to her, she's Maleficent of the Evil Queen staring down at you. She obviously doesn't have to be evil but a strong woman with a sense of authority in their step seems to fit her as well as a male watching his prey and taking the next step.
As for looking like a real tiger. I've never met a tiger with those kinds of stripes but if I did I would throw all the money in the world around trying to get someone to let me keep her as a pet.

Just hopping back on to say that I actually LIKE the chibi revamp. XD I'm not sure what's so scary about it and hell, we get KITTY PAWS with it, so it's cute. (Tiger cubs are actually kind of ugly in comparison to domestic kittens so...)
Wow, the tigrean looks amazing! It's eyes look a tad fuzzy/funny but that will be something to get used to. I remembered loving the dark matter tigrean when it was first release and now I'm loving it even more! The bloodred is pretty cool too although its snarling looks a little strange but it's more realistic to how it was before! The chibi looks a little weird but it's still pretty sweet. Pretty curious what the Glacier tigrean would look like in future :)

Well. Mixed feelings about the common tigrean's pose because it looks like it's stepping into thin air and it bothers me a little (there is also an issue with that with the DM one, the right front paw looks weird) but overall I see it as a definite improvement over the previous one (and I don't mean the polled version)
It isn't that ...mutated long-legged ...thing anymore that didn't look ANYTHING like a cat :P
Hopefully the reborn version will be amazing and I'll be able to change Agni back into one, since I really disliked the revamp years and years ago XD

Wow, I love the Bloodred and Chibi Tigreans! The Chibi is so cute. And the new Spectrum and Blacklight Irions are beautiful.
I don´t like the basic form - for me, the tigrean was quite feminine, as it was, more like a tigress. Now, it´s bold and masculine, and doesn´t really fit into what I saw in it. For me, it´s the head. The eyes are giving a quite cruel look, and the forehead is to big in some way I can´t describe... The artwork is cool, I´m also ok with the body as it is now, but the head just doesn´t fit. (And it absolutely doesn´t fit for my female dawn tigrean :( :( :( :( )

I wish, OH I WISH - I had at least been given the choice to change my pet over or not.
Don't get me wrong the tigrean looks really good, really fierce and I am so very sorry for whinging, but it's just I created Az after my own beloved pet cat died and the tigrean looked so much like him - It helped me to cope with losing him. Now, he doesn't look like my pet anymore.

I don't like the revamp,because I think that now really don't even match other species of pets here. Posed version look better, but I really like Chibi version.
I really love the Tigrean revamps! The way it has that mischievous and proud expression and posture, it's a tiger and it knows it!

Okie dokie, the chibi just updated for me on the site and homg. I'm not sure if people complaining are coming from the old version or if they're complaining about the new one, but I LOVE the new little chibi tigrean. It is so stinking cute and it's.... mischievous. Going to have to change one of my pets to that... suits so much better with the story I have planned/will probably never finish because I suck.
In other news I noticed the stripe patterns on the forehead look like a skull with horns............ can't stop seeing that now. It cannot be unseen!

I am impressed. So, so impressed. The tigrean revamp had me worried when it was first proposed, but I see it has been tackled superbly (I really like the common-pose and the DM). Now I'm curious as to how my reborn will end up looking in his new coat (also looking forward to the NM, as I think it would suit the 'dark' theme of the pet very nicely).
Also, not to let the tig have the spotlight all to himself; the irions are all kinds of amazing and I really like them! :D

i love the update, but i can see where some people are coming from; for me, it's not so much a lack of sleekness, it's more... i dunno, the old tigreans looked more like a combination of other big cats as well. it meant they could be used for characters that the celinox and archan didn't fit, but now the tigrean looks way more like a tiger and not much else.
that's just my two cents though. i really do love the updates! the irions are great too, i gotta get me one of those blacklights.

I love the way the Tigrean looks now, way better than before. And I agree 100% with CallaSoreon. Just because it looks a certain way or has a certain build doesn't mean it can't be both male and female. What I see is simply a more realistic looking tiger. If you're that unhappy with it then just get an overlay. It's not that hard. The code for doing that can easily be found on the forum.
I do agree though that the chibi looks strange. But this has nothing to do with it looking like a baby serial killer. Mainly because I know that chibi doesn't mean it's a baby, it just means it's SMALL.

I am so SICK of the 'argument': its not sleek therefore is can't be female/feminine. Tigers in real life are 'bulky' do you automatically assume they are all male because of this? NO, I bet you don't. Same for elephants, lions (female lions are some of the most badass animal ladies out there), bears, and moose. Things don't have to be 'sleek' to be female/feminine or that matter bulky to be male/masculine. Otters are sleek does that mean they are all female? NO! Same for house cats, foxes, and giraffes.

I absolutely adore the new Tigrean. I think it's gorgeous, and I love the more realistic look to it. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more revamped colors.

The Chibi Tigrean was one of the first I tried to draw when I came to the site years ago...I've been waiting for it to be revamped and it is perfect! :)
Just trying to decide which of my pets is going to get hit with a potion now. I really like the regular Tigrean(s) art as well, so Broken Tail is probably staying as is. :)

LOVE the new BR tigreen. Not sure how I feel about the common and the chibi, but the BR is AWESOME and the DM ain't no slouch!

I'll start by saying that the artwork for the Tigreans is truly remarkable and the detail on each is amazing. The Tigrean now looks very much like a real tiger and you can tell that the artist put tons of effort into this revamp. However, the pet now looks very masculine to me and lost the sleek jungle cat appeal that first drew me to create one. My Tigrean is named after a character that is 1)female 2)very sleek and sensual and 3) elegant...none of which fit the revamped look of the Tigrean. She is Reborn colored and has already been revamped once since I created and colored her. I now fear that she will be redrawn into this hulking masculine angry looking creature that simply does not fit her at all. I am far from code savvy and have never even attempted an overlay, but I will be saving her current artwork in case my fears come to pass and will then have to figure out how to cover her up. Not a huge deal and certainly not enough to make me want to pound her or anything along those lines, but saddening for me that the species as a whole seems to have completely changed its look and feel. Again, the artwork itself is gorgeous and I have no complaints about it as art, my "complaint" is the drastic change to the character/feel of the pet species. I agree with a previous comment that the realistic art takes away the fantasy aspect of the pets and makes it seem less "special" since the only thing that differentiates it now from an actual real life tiger are the colors applied to it. I don't come to petsites looking for realistic pets, but perhaps I am the minority since I think the Ruffie (which is basically a dog) is the most popular pet here. Also, the Chibi is just plain creepy. I love the Chibi pets, find them adorable and appealing and have several...but that Chibi Tigrean is so far from cute that it doesn't even recognize cute's existence. I'm going to try and pretend that it doesn't exist from this point on.The artwork is fine...it's just way creepy and I really don't care for it/find it mildly disturbing that what is essentially a baby pet looks like it is a serial killer.
This new one is a completely different pet, it looks too real for my tastes, it looks like any other generic tiger, it lost everything that made it special (everything that made it a Tigrean)
