New Gift Wrapping!
We\'ve simplified the gift giving process this luminaire by purchasing all of the stock of wrapping paper that the Holiday Shop has! You can now send gifts directly from the gift wrapping center without worrying about finding wrapping paper! We\'re even giving everyone 10,000sP if they redeem their wrapping paper from their inventory, since we aren\'t taking it anymore!
The owners of the holiday shop have taken the sP from the purchase of the remainder of their stock and skipped off to retirement in Veta!

Miramel, that is a good point. I purchase around 100 MKBs and a few thousand tokens to give out around the holidays, plus other random items.. and paying 15K for holiday wrapping paper per item.... woo, not going to happen. 2.K is even pushing it to send it in a random one. Sadly I'll probably resort to forum giveaways instead... which don't seem nearly as spirited.
Hold on a sec, I need to be sure I understand this correctly. You're giving me 10K to buy back my wrapping paper and then charging me 15K to use it again? Whoa. For heaven's sakes, lower that 15K to 10K. Also, a mass redeem would have been a little easier. Obviously another annoying sP sink and I do understand the Holiday Shop is being phased out but surely you know a lot of us are hoarding the stuff and clicking 'use item' for each one is going to be annoying as hell. I'm really not looking forward to it.
OK now I see, we redeem the paper by clicking on it in inventory. I have a bunch saved in my vault, now have to decide sell or redeem.
WOW why do this during Luminaire? 10,000 doesn't really seem like a fair trade when you want another 2000 to 15000 for something I already had in my inventory.

One of the nicest things about Luminaire, beyond the expensive gifts friends give each other, is total strangers giving and getting Anonymous gifts even if the cost of those is low. It really is the thought that counts. I'm afraid this cost is going to take that away, which would be very sad.
I kinda like this idea in the sense of just being able to use whatever wrapping papers I want, without having to bother restocking it or paper in general.
However, I want to echo the same question in regards to the most recent releases of combo items-- what happens to those, now that the papers are being phased out? Any chance the paper could be replaced with something else (paints, decals, stuff from thimble and co maybe) so the items don't basically inflate beyond reason :c?

I'm keeping my extra wrapping paper now! I was trying to collect one of each type for my gallery, but now that is going to be a lot harder now this "factory" has been put into effect! I'll be lucky if I can afford one now... let alone the several dozen I still need!
15k is rather high... Also, like Ninja said, what will happen with the Genetech combos that require wrapping paper?

15K to wrap a present? Are you kidding? Glad I finished the send a wrapped gift achievement a few days ago so I don't need this. But how do we redeem the paper in our inventory for 10K? I don't see a button or link for that.

I like the idea, but 15K is a lot for new folks and players who have big hearts but little pockets. I think I'll donate my wrapping paper stash instead.

But the prices seem a bit much to me.
I wish the cost for choosing was made the overall cost of wrapping paper from the shop, or at least half of what they are currently.

Well, the wrapping elf is lovely, the price... not so much, considering people are mass-sending gifts and the box still only fits one item... (I'd be happier about it if the 15k box would fit a few items inside)
Also,
"You sent the (item name here) to your friend!" -- it would be much better if we could still see their username there instead of "your friend" (like it was before), now the message lost a bit of that "confirmation" purpose it had to me :/

Giving gifts is supposed to be a joy not an sP sink! If Staff made the price 500-1000, sure. 15k to choose wrapping? No.
As for the combos, maybe they'll modify them to need something besides paper?

Okay, first off, can somebody comment me and tell me how i redeem my gift wrap? And is it 10k per piece, or 10k for everything i have?

15k makes this a sp sink. 2.5k is reasonable enough, but still, we could go to the shops and purchase whatever we'd like for that much or less. :/// I'd rather send an unwrapped present.

Preferred the old way, Wrapping Elf, shouldn't matter to you if you just wrap for us - you bought out the Holiday Shop and plan to make a killing all year round. Admit it!

15k seems a bit steep just to choose a colour, considering that almost all of the available wrapping papers were significantly under 15k to begin with! :(

Welcome to the Wrapping Factory! Here we wrap up those gifts of yours with wrapping paper we make right here at the factory. The first step is to select the type of wrapping paper you want. You can select paper for 15,000sP or have it randomly selected from our warehouse supplies for 2,500sP.

Sorry but my initial reaction is that this bites. I'll think about it though. I feel sorry for newcomers who want to get the give a gift achievement.
