New Gift Wrapping!
We\'ve simplified the gift giving process this luminaire by purchasing all of the stock of wrapping paper that the Holiday Shop has! You can now send gifts directly from the gift wrapping center without worrying about finding wrapping paper! We\'re even giving everyone 10,000sP if they redeem their wrapping paper from their inventory, since we aren\'t taking it anymore!
The owners of the holiday shop have taken the sP from the purchase of the remainder of their stock and skipped off to retirement in Veta!

I'm really disappointed about losing the Holiday Shop. All these changes seem like there's an intention to make it harder and harder for collectors or hoarders.
I'm happy with the change.

Be better if you just made it 1k and you got to pick.

I don't like this option. I loved having to buy wrapping paper and sending people presents. Now we have to pay to send people gifts? I call bullshit on that, sorry. There were way cheaper wrapping papers out there, I am not paying 1k let alone 15k to wrap a gift. I collected the wrapping paper, I bought a ton load the other week, just so I can send gifts. So much luck for that :/
Oh I love this. I don't send gifts often, so having to go to the shop to buy paper was annoying.
why kill the holiday shop though? i fear for future events and their event-related items' releases :| alegarten was mindblowingly expensive overall, and what about quentin's quests? what about the event items, that no longer will be restocking via the holiday shop, being asked for? ugh.
I don't understand the problem (since the price dropped) if you've been hoarding paper: Go to your inventory, trade it in for 10k, then go spend 7500 for the same thing, pocket 2500 sP. If you didn't keep wrapping paper around, your best option is just to spend 1k to send it randomly; the box is not the important part of a gift, is it? And if you're sending so many gifts that an extra 1k each will break your bank, well... what paper were you sending them in anyway that was an appreciable amount less than that? According to the page stats, the average user now has over 9 million sP -- don't pretend we don't have a need for as many sP sinks as possible, statistically.
I think next year the prices should probably be reduced since there will (theoretically) be less paper on the site to turn in for fat stacks of cash (I just made 540k and I still have 123 wrapping paper items left to turn in). Consider that they could have simply allowed us to use up our remaining stock for free... you'd be down no more money than before. However, even if I spent 7500 to send one present for every piece of paper I have (cost: 1,327,500 sp to send 177 presents), I'll still have made a new 442k -- and the economy will STILL be so ridiculous that I don't even consider that much of a profit. If you're concerned about new players' ability to send presents, set up a giveaway thread where you either give your wrapping paper away as 10k vouchers, or give 7500 away. Don't wanna? Cool idea but the price is ridiculous. 15K to wrap a present? Don't think so. I might pay 1K but that's about it. So guess I'll just be sending my friends presents for Xmas without wrap from now on. :(
To me, I think the prices are high for wrapping paper, especially for those who are able to hoard it during the year in order to gift bomb people :[ . In all honesty, I am on the fence about this feature. On one hand, I really like being able to choose any wrapping paper, but I also dont appreciate the price. On the other hand, I feel like this isnot a good choice, cause it kinda takes some of the fun out of the whole process.

Soooo, in general, I like this new Feature! But why did you make the giftwraps so expensive? That kind of annoys me. I think, as many others here do, 1000 sp for choosing and half the price for Random would have been appropriate. Gifting should be funny and easy, gifting wrapped gifts, a unique and wonderful feature of this site, should be also.

Booo Hisss. No more gift wrapping for me. It's not often that I totally hate a new system but this takes all the fun out of Lumineve for me. I bought lots of giftwrap in the off-season when it was 100sp or less, just for Lumineve gifts. Over 7k to wrap a present in paper of my choice? that is freaking nuts! OOOH! I've had to erase this three times now to avoid unacceptable language. This sucks.
I wanna say thank you for this. I like this new feature. I didnt hoard and if I did I wouldnt want to go the the vault everytime to send a gift. Price seems a bit high and preview would be nice but overall I'm happy with this change.
I'm more upset about the loss of the Holiday Shop.... I used to love to buy things there. It was my favourite shop! How will we get event themed items now?? Or are you going to make everything cash shop items? Plus the prices you're charging are insanely high, especially considering you've at least quadrupled costs of sending a wrapped present now. I thought better of you guys. Very disappointed.
What about the genetech items that require wrapping paper? There are quite a few of those. If they're retired then it would have been nice of you to warn us before you decided to completely get rid of the wrapping paper. Unlike most during this season, I've not got a ton of paper lying around because I'm not that into gift giving. This just keeps getting worse. First I have to hunt through all the regular shops to find seasonal items (haven't caught even one yet, by the way) and now this. Did people really find the old way so annoying that you decided to shun more important site improvements to implement this first? Before you changed it I didn't care. Now I'm annoyed.
I'm okay with it because I've been paying 40k for each Peppermint Wrapping paper. 8D;; Okay, on a more serious note, I don't think the new price is that bad, plus you can make it only 1k if you don't really care/don't want to spend 7.5k. Granted it's more than if you hoarded a bunch of such, but still, I don't think it's too bad. But if this change garners too much complaints over the next week or so, maybe the new system would be fiddled with. While change can be good, you should always be wary of the communities' response.

You know what? I'm not done ranting about this. WHAT POSSESSED YOU TO THINK WE NEEDED A GOD DAMN NPC FOR THIS FEATURE? If this is some sort of christmas plot, can we skip it and have things go back to normal? The holidays are WAY to frickin' hectic for this kind of BS.

Wow this was a shitastic change. I have HUNDREDS of wrapping papers in my vault that are now just utterly useless and the prices for this new format are beyond stupid. Never going to use this feature again. Thanks for that. :/

No no no. Please everything else aside, please bring back the preview button! I love to code my letters and MANY times that preview button has made sure I didn't screw it all up. I don't care for pricing but will make do, but PLEASE bring back the preview button.
7.5k to pick a wrapping paper?! This is insane! I could hoard wrapping paper at 200sP each to send presents.
If we don't even get the object, why can't you just make it more or less free? (like 1k to pick, and 500sP for random, at most).
And I don't like the idea of phasing out so many items that may be useful as other things (quests, fragging, treasure chests...)

The sticker shock got me for a few, but after some reflection I think this is fairly positive. Do like not having to go to my vault for paper anymore. A part of me is all "but I don't wanna pay that much to chooooose!" but then in reality, I usually just snag whatever random paper I happen to click on first from my vault and go with that. So not much really changes there. I am glad the prices changed from where they were initially pegged, but I am not sure that the price for choosing is low enough to tempt me to do it that way very often. We'll see tho.
