Snowball Fight Prizes
Dolly and I have finally put together all the prizes for our snowball fight. It wasn’t easy getting all the random melody items together, but we did it!
Are you curious to see what you got? Make sure to visit us to get your goods! You’ll be given your participation prizes, your team prizes if you threw enough snowballs, your super cool trow trophy, and if you were on my team you’ll get a cool winter background! The top 10% snowball throwers also will be awarded their cool achievement.

I guess the top 10% are everyone from the highest amount (like 44k?) to the highest amount-10%? But i think some three more so thats probably not it. Sounds more like only the top 1% got it.
...So yeah disappointed that I didnt get the achievement, 18 k wasnt that much but I hoped that it would be enough D:

I don't feel as guilty for my low numbers now. Not thrilled with the prizes, but I'm pretty relieved that I didn't miss out on a ton of cool stuff for not participating as much as I would have liked.

i feel like the prize structure would have benefitted a bit more from a tier system on this. i threw 16k or so snowballs in the process of the event, having learned way too late that i was nowhere near the top 10%. if i'd known that, i wouldn't have contributed as much as i did, and probably stopped after the 50 or however many i needed to get the team prize. in either case i made out the same, which is discouraging, to say the least.
i dunno, it was a cute idea for an event, but in practice it pretty much just worked out to be an autorefresher exercise. probably would have been better suited to a two day, weekend event, especially considering the rewards.

If my calculations are correct, the top 10% all spent over 53 hours straight throwing snowballs

I really hope you set up a feedback form like you did for a previous event. There was so many things that needed to be changed if this is held in the future.
already had 2/3 melody items i was given in my wardrobe, 3rd was a plushie so it's likely i've had that at some point, too. well, that was certainly not worth the 27k snowballs thrown LOL. gj to those who made the top 10% though.
I'm confused, 4768 people entered so 10% would be 476. If only the top 10% threw snowballs and all threw the same amount then the cut off would be 20700. As the bottom 90% also threw snowballs and some of the top 10% have thrown more than 20700 the cut off should have been below this amount.

Hm. I didn't really expect to make it to top 10% myself, given the sort of numbers I was seeing on the boards, but the cutting point feels rather curious to me.
If Dolly has 2,828 members, then the top 10% are 282 people; if 282 people had thrown the 5,745,964 total snowballs Dolly had all by themselves, each would have had a score of around 20,376 snowballs. 38k?

Disappointed that I got a random MM item from this year and I didn't care for any of the other 4, but I love the background and the sled! So I am happy. Although after throwing 8000 snowballs, I feel like I spent too much time on this refreshing event, so I can't imagine what the people who threw thousands more feel.
I'm sorry but those prizes don't make up for the millions of sp and time spent from throwing snowballs.

We used Melody items that were rather expensive, so you might get an item or two from this year (such as those multiple use items ;))

I got the old Melody items, but I don't think I got the "few other prizes" it's saying? Or was that the Sweetie Cane Necklace?
