I always like new challengers. It´s just a little bummer that they are always for higher tier pets. Some new challengers for middle tier pets would be nice. Really, really nice.

there are plenty of low end challengers. it's a rare occasion we actually get a non-csc challenger that is meant for t12+ pets.
stronger challengers give weaker pets something to work towards, where as weak challengers get beaten right away and forgotten about by most people.
For anyone who cannot beat the mage right away, I suggest to continue training and doing your battle quests, you will be able to beat him if you put in the effort.

I was actually wondering just the other day why "wind" wasn't an "elemental" amulet/tome. xD

you have to turn in one of each amulets in the same go including the two new ones. It's not retroactive.

Sorry, I guess I should have been a bit more specific in my response.
I do understand that it might be important to some of those who can relate with the character. When I said, "being that they aren't real, no harm is truly done", I was mostly just saying that it isn't necessarily a huge ordeal to get upset about. I wasn't saying that you shouldn't care at all.
Personally, I believe a bit of clarification on it may go a long ways (like specifically stating it in Quentin's entry, maybe as a side note).
I hope that made more sense. :)

While Quentin is fictitious, their representation of non-binary gendered people is important because those people have pronouns with which they're more comfortable and learning to use the correct pronouns for Quentin is an important life-lesson in dealing with real life non-binaries for whom it DOES matter. @Kittyclaws911 Maybe not anger so much as just...disappointment. Someone already did it once on here. That's the only reason why I brought them up, aside from whenever mage amulets are mentioned it just keeps happening. Yeah, disappointment is a better word for it. I don't want to start something here; it just would be nice to get those people to stop. Yeah, I'm sad and disappointed at those people
Even though we haven't figured out how to unlock him. The time we eventually do battle him will taste that much more sweeter.

Staff really needs to make an official post correcting people about what they call Quentin, because every time someone addresses them with he or she pronouns, I get so angry. Where do people even come up with this? Is it really that hard?
I have been really busy all week and have barely finished my battle quests much less finished other quests and today i am only able to be home as i am awaiting a new fridge being delivered. I am still tidying up my kitchen so imma have to leave it to yall to work it out i am afraid goes to finish battle quests

So where do we get these new amulets? From Quentin? Ugh, I usually lose SPs on her quests and rarely get an amulet. Darn. :(

After reading the subpedia entry i thought the answer might be to have a shinwa or oracle item in my invent while using mage amulets. That didnt work. I used an earth, water and death amulet

I tried using a tome, that wasn't it. Visited him with all the shards in my inventory, BUT I don't have Ice and Wind. Maybe we need the new versions of amulets, tomes, shards etc. too.
I'm thinking it might involve having one of each of the amulets in your inventory or visiting him with one of each. Will need to wait until people get the Ice and Wind ones to test this theory though.
Will the Aero Subzero Scroll be updated with the correct combo now that the Wind Shard and Tome are a thing?
bought 5 amulets to see if that's how you unlock him, got 3 tomes. not bad at all.

Well, I just turned in three amulets and got all shards/no challenger. Maybe you have to get a tome to unlock him?
