New User Shops

The new user shops are now live for everyone!
The limits have been raised once more and are now 750 for shops and 2500 for galleries for normal users and 1000 for shops and 4000 for galleries for gold account users. These limits are not final and will be increasing in the next couple of weeks, especially for galleries.
As of today, you can no longer add items to old shops. You can, however, continue to sell from them until the 24th, when older shops will be completely disabled. After that, you’ll still be able to remove items from them, you just won’t be able to reprice your items or have users purchase from them. There are tools to move all your items from old shops and vaults to the new shops!
For those wondering about the still active shop achievements, if you’re working toward the shop till achievements, make sure you transfer your till from your older shops to new shops to continue your progress. You can do this by visiting your old shop’s till page! If you already have progress toward the Making a Living achievement, there's nothing you need to do! The sales from your old shop will automatically be added to the sales from your highest-earning shop to continue progressing toward the achievement. If you do happen to make more sales in your old shop before they're disabled, though (or your achievement progress is out of date!), you can update your progress by visiting the shop's edit page, the same place the Making a Living achievement was previously earned. Super Shop! and Hoarder! have both retired.

Aaaand I deleted a shop before I took all the money out of the till. Fml I'm an idiot.

Remove All links of the Old Shops are not working on Opera, is this supposed to be like that? :<
I'm actually in the process of making a guide on new shops. (I'm not sure if I can post a forum link on here.)
It's not complete, but I'm trying to get it done ASAP so everyone can start looking at it.

@Efferd
Good to hear, thank you!
For such a huge change you need a guide and all the answers in one place, not in addition to all the trouble they put us through expect us to dig through all the threads and postings to find the answers to a hundred questions, providing they even exist yet.
Oh, my, I guess, I should have created a new old shop and transferred my vault there, so I can put all the new excess items into the vault, once shops are filled. I need my system! And now it's too late.
This is all too troublesome, really.
I was going to continue, but right now I wonder, if I truely want to...

@Claire On your old shop's "Edit Items" page, you can now click "All" at the top of the quantity column as if you were gonna remove them, and then scroll down to the the bottom of the page. Change "Item Destination" to your new shop/gallery, and boom! Items... queued, to transfer. It's not instant, but I guess it's better than nothing. Prices are transferred with the items so you don't have to re-price.
This is great and all but I added 4 pretty expensive items to my old shop before reading this and they've all been deleted or something and I'm a bit salty about that

Can someone please explain how to transfer the items from my old shop to my new one? I've looked everywhere, but can't seem to find it. D:
Thanks!
Thanks!

I don't know if this has been answered already or not, but do we need to delete our old shops after our shop till/items have been moved? Or will they be automatically deleted by staff?
either its because I'm in Chrome or I'm just not seeing it, but I see absolutely no create shop option on the your shop page and I have used that area quite often

I appreciate the new limits but hoping it gets raised again fairly soon as I just finished spending a long time transferring my last category out of my old gallery into the new one and re-categorizing everything. But it's already 3/4 full and my old gallery is still full of uncategorized items. sigh

@BoaConstrictor Prices will be transferred as well (at least they did for me), so it's really easy to do - though I agree that they could have released a clear step-to-step guide.
My only problem is that I can't find an option to transfer gallery categories as well...

@Scorpio - because I (like most probably many people) have not created a shop in 9 years. Let alone no thing like a drop down existed then. I swear I've never been aware of or used that "your shops" link - just the individual shops from there.
But: thank you!
But: thank you!

If my old shop still can sell stuff for a bit... I'm getting me a 1 week GA and autopricing the heck outta it!

Aha! Figured out how to transfer the items. What a dummy. I looked everywhere but the obvious place.

@BoaConstrictor
Commerce drop-down, click Your Shops, creation on that page.
It's the same as it always was with previous shops, so I'm not sure what everyone is having trouble with.
I'll be glad to answer any more questions you do have if I can though!

kinda need the shop search to work...not working(I guess) when you do shop search from the quests pages

@Scorpio
o.k., may be, looong ago ;)
But then, as said, they should have everything settled and clear. Where is the the full step by step guide with all the answers to the questions we raised - people can't even find, how to create a new shop!

This isn't new news. They had it in the original post a week ago:
"The new user shops/galleries will be released to everyone on the 17th. Once the new shops are live, you will not be able to add anything new to your old shops!"

Soooo.... I'm guessing there's a FAQ on how to change your old shop into a new shop, but uh... yeah. No clear linkage or check box to change it in Edit Shop anywhere, or anything in profits. I don't know what I'm doing, you guys say it'll carry over but I don't see any way to ensure that. Like I'll look up past posts on this, but if you guys are lyin' about shop till and making a living achievements carrying over when you transfer, then you guys are freaking lying. I'm a little panicked- ten mill' in Making a living, that ain't easy for me.

Apologies if I missed it, but is there any easy way to transfer items from an old to a new shop/gallery?

@grelca
????
"On the 24th, your older shops will be disabled."
It's not the 24th yet.
We are entitled to full usage of our shops until at least then.
I don't have time for new shops this moment, esp. not, when everything is still so unclear; it's almost midnight and I still have a lot of quests do deal with. And also I first want to know, how you're dealing with item repetitions in more than one shop etc. - all the unsolved questions that were raised on the "The new gallery/shop limit"-thread, before even creating a new shop.

@grelca - Ah, I see. Thank you for the clarification! :)
FYI, this is what she means:
My old shop: 119,012,335 sP
New shop: 675,827 sP
What it says on the Making a Living achievement: 119,688,162 sp
So, the stats for both shops are added in the achievement page.

I know I bitched about not being able to do this back in the day, but why am I being redirected to the users shop instead of the splash page that we used to get? Admittedly, I was wrong to object to that change and became quite accustomed to the new. I also want to know why you would ever get rid of the add to wardrobe/collection button. That made life, so much easier!

Is there no option to transfer categories as well? Ordering items from my gallery into categories was actually the most laborious task, so I'd really appreciate being able to transfer this info.
@Grelca
Well, thanks for confirming that. I been doing limited questing lately. Guess I'll give it a shot for full questing tomorrow and stock my new shop. :D I'm hoping my old one clears out in the mean time.

@Grelca
So autopricing should still work for the old shops?
It shows 0 in mine and 0 items in shop on the autopricing page if I try,

@BoaConstrictor you can't add items to old shops anymore. you'll still be able to sell the items you already have in them for the next week, though. (sorry for the double ping i typoed and there's no edit :P)

Thank you so much for increasing the items.
I can´t stock / autoprice my old shop, does only the new shops work now???
I thought we had some days left for completing all this.......

Thank you so much for clarifying. If I understand this correctly now, it's the cumulative Making A Living achievement that transfers, not the Shop Till Saver achievement.

I would like to be able to transfer my stats to a new shop is this possible please? Someone said something about the shop til page but I have stared at every part of the shop for ages and can not find a way to transfer anything til or info to a new shop
Total Sales: 112,200
Total Profits: 2,706,737,526 sP

I cannot quickstock to my old shop!!!!
Amber said it's being fixed?!
...and I cannot move from vault to shop either (some items went into the vault, because I'm naturally not checking ALL the quickstock colums, and shop had become vault...)

okay so i know the achievement thing is super confusing. i tried to explain it but it's still confusing. it's just really hard to explain I'M SORRY.
actual sales stats do not transfer. when the achievement updates on the new shops from now on, it'll be updating it with "old shop sales + new shop sales" but you won't see the old shop sales anywhere. this is just to let you continue progress toward the making a living achievement, since you won't be able to continue using the shops you already have progress in that achievement for. so basically what we've done is we have saved your existing progress toward the achievement. and if you go to the edit shop page of your old shop (where the achievement used to be awarded), if the sp sales there is higher than what we have saved, it'll get updated to that new number. so that number will get added to your highest-earning new shop's sp sales, and that is your progress toward the achievement now. it was the best way i could think of to make sure you didn't lose the progress toward the achievement, but the way the new shops are set up we couldn't just transfer over those stats.
shop tills are different. you can transfer the sp you have in your till to one of your new shops, since that is not an over-time achievement (like making sales is), but rather a "have x in your till at once" achievement. so to let you continue toward that, we came up with a way for you to transfer your whole till.
but actual sales data (sp made and items sold) will not transfer.
i know it's super confusing, but i hope that at least makes a little more sense out of it!

Fantastic lag. And yes, got a 502 or two just now. It hasn't been an hour even yet so I'm gonna wait with attitude "told you so".
As for the new shops/galleries, all cool but will we get sorting by item IDs back? Looks much better in several cases.

Never mind I just did a bunch of clicking and eventually got it. But thank you for the increase in limits :)
Anyone know how to move ALL of my items to the new shops? I'm clicking remove all and then transferring, but it only transfers one page at a time, so I have to constantly transfer them...

Lol I have no idea what I'm doing? I assumed there would be a link in the post about where to go for new shops but all I'm seeing is my old one
