New User Shops
The new user shops are now live for everyone!
The limits have been raised once more and are now 750 for shops and 2500 for galleries for normal users and 1000 for shops and 4000 for galleries for gold account users. These limits are not final and will be increasing in the next couple of weeks, especially for galleries.
As of today, you can no longer add items to old shops. You can, however, continue to sell from them until the 24th, when older shops will be completely disabled. After that, you’ll still be able to remove items from them, you just won’t be able to reprice your items or have users purchase from them. There are tools to move all your items from old shops and vaults to the new shops!
For those wondering about the still active shop achievements, if you’re working toward the shop till achievements, make sure you transfer your till from your older shops to new shops to continue your progress. You can do this by visiting your old shop’s till page! If you already have progress toward the Making a Living achievement, there's nothing you need to do! The sales from your old shop will automatically be added to the sales from your highest-earning shop to continue progressing toward the achievement. If you do happen to make more sales in your old shop before they're disabled, though (or your achievement progress is out of date!), you can update your progress by visiting the shop's edit page, the same place the Making a Living achievement was previously earned. Super Shop! and Hoarder! have both retired.

That's why brainstorming BEFORE testing and certainly before going live would have been so wise and helpful. And I fear that a lot of the questions we asked will have been neglected, even though they were repeated over and over, when noone answered them.
But cudos to all the (short notice) programming that HAS gone into this project, esp. the moving issue!

Please tell me you'll be re-adding the option to sort items by item ID and not alphabetical? Part of my gallery is dedicated to rainbows and when all the different colors of the same item aren't lined up it ruins it...
I think I'm going to wait a while longer before I start transferring everything over. Don't want to screw something up.
Agree with Hannah66665. I liked seeing the prices for stuff in my gallery just in case I ever decided I would rather have the SPs than the item. After spending hours moving and recategorizing everything I finally have all my stuff in the new shops/galleries. But I'm hoping they raise the limits again someday as I had to split my old gallery into 3 new ones and the main one is already 3/4 full with little room for new future stuff.

Well, looks like unless the shop limit is increased very soon, I'm going to be drowning in items. My main selling shop is 500 items over the limit. I don't know what I'll do if/when I let my GA expire. I don't want to juggle more than one main shop. It really seems like most users don't quest at all anymore.
@BoaConstrictor no, that hasn't been addressed because i honestly never thought of it and this is the first time it's been brought to my attention.
please bring it back so we can see user shop prices for items in our galleries like it was before?? I go through my galleries regularly to see what items have gone up enough in price to where I'd be willing to part with them.
I know it's not really important... but is it possible to transfer the "lifetime items sold" and "lifetime sP Made" to the new shop..? just wanting to be sure before fully deleting the old one.

I am really appreciative of all the work that has gone into making the new shops and helping the server, and I appreciate that the staff raised the limits so quickly.
However, I am actually upset to find out that I am unable to create as many galleries (as a non GA user) as I previously owned (and paid for)! It makes me feel as if the money I spent on creating those extra galleries was wasted.

The only thing I don't really like so far is waiting for the queue to send over my items. S:

admin posts is a sheer pain, because you get posts from every admin on every topic, so you need to read more than if you just plow through the right threads. Tried it once, because someone quoted a post from there, which I tried to locate; and of course all I found for many pages was totally unrelated stuff, till I gave up.

We cannot be expected to check every single item, however with such restricted space, we also cannot afford to waste it with having the same item in more than one shop. Go to the shop drop down. All your shops will be listed there with a black triangle next to them showing that those are the old shops. You're new shop will be listed right at the top of the list however.

I'm gonna agree with blackworlf - that's not supposed to happen! You shouldn't lose any items from this. Maybe they somehow got cued? Still, filing a ticket probably isn't a bad idea.

Thank you! Only things bugging me... My gallery keeps jumping around on the list when I was mass moving things to shops. I didn't catch it the first time (now have to hand price all of those or be lazy and wait till my next gold account) but I've caught it since then. xD I also GREATLY miss the search by wishlist button. Not having that will greatly reduce my non quest spending and those "Oh they have this!" splurging. :P I was sure it was there during beta testing though!
I have over 50mil in my shop till, and none of the shop till saver achievements. Is there something special I need to be doing?
Cleared out my old shop and tried to delete it (since I don't want duplicate in my Shops list) and got this error:

@BoaConstrictor i haven't heard about a problem with items in multiple shops so i'm not really sure what you're talking about.

yes, thank you and sorry, @grelca , someone pointed that line out to me already. Still sad, it will even more reduce the time I can quest or the like till my new shops are filled and I have to essentially stop playing because of a filled inventory.

well had to switch to Firefox to quest(not happy about that) and haven't looked yet to see about the shop thing..that needs to be fixed in Chrome(and yes I have rebooted, cleared, etc) I hate FF because its slower then hell for me for some reason(even though its up to date)
Not Funny... I have around 20k of items in my hoarding gallery. That means I have to move them to EIGHT new Gallerys. X(

Why are my shops no longer highlighted in Shop Search? Was a quite new feature, but I got used to it with the easy removal. Was that scrapped because of too much strain on the servers?
Is there anyway that we can NOT get a notification every time we sell an item from a shop, ie, like the old system, where you only got a notification once until you deleted it? I'm getting overwhelmed with notifications over here?

This sounds great! Thank you for listening to worries and such, and not letting it get to where everyone was flipping out xD that was such a mess. I am also glad to hear those going for achievements can just move their things over like the items. Great job guys!
I've been moving my stuff from my old shop to my new one easily. Going to stuff it full, then autoprice it, and rinse and repeat each day until all of the items are sold, and those that don't sell by next Sunday I'll just remove and take to frag. :D

How do we check if the Making A Living stats have transferred? I've emptied out my old shop for the new one, but I don't want to delete it if the stats didn't go over to the new one.
OMG someone please help i made the new shops with the old names and now i cant acess my old shops atall to transfer things
When searching for items if things are in your own shop the box says 'Move'. The font is small and the box same colour as all the rest so it is difficult to spot quickly. Could we have the Box and font bit more noticable a differnt colour etc as we had with the old shops, Its a fairly new feature that I find so useful :}
Figured out how to use it, just the scrolling is a bit of a bother hehe (it's still faster then my original plan).
