Qrykee, mate!
The qrykee was once known as simply "Experiment #716," but after the appearance of the great Centropolis Sewer Beast earlier this year, I was able to collect some new DNA samples. Those led to the discovery that my pet was not simply the result of my own genetic manipulation at all, but it was, in fact, a pure evolutionary form of the beast! Furthermore, due to them now having the properties of many other Subetan creatures - as is typical with my experiments - the qrykee is able to be potioned into several different colors, with more being discovered as we speak! (Or they will be, once I receive the proper funding.)
Speaking of funding; to adopt a qrykee of your own, it will cost 500,000 sp. You can adopt a brand new qrykee from my own excellent collection, or morph one of your own pets using my always excellent and amazing One True Zapper.
All previous experiment #716s have now had their details updated to their new species name. What an amazing discovery on my part! I am the One True Scientist, Iād say.

@myladysilver - My guess is that when you adopt it it will be common, and to make it a different colour you need the potion, if you want to transform a current pet that is say reborn, it will lose the reborn colour, you will have to wait for the reborn colour to be released and get a new potion for it.
What happens if you want to transform a current pet, but they are a color that is not yet available for the Qrykee?

The design together with the pose is a bit too busy for my taste. Love the Chibi though, it is lovely. Also, of course, the name!
The blue-yellow variant looks almost just like Galactic pallet... Wonder what Galactic version will look like.

Ooh, I don't have any characters to fit an alligator, but now I'm wondering about other experiments. Like, I already love my scribble peacock but if reborn was released it would be so difficult to keep away from the 'flaming' pun for my fashion designer boys. :P And the 8001 would make another cool dragon-ish pet, the 84, the 886, and the 932 would be awesome, the 870 would be perfect for my pet if released in Arid... the possibilities, omg.

Opinion; On one hand, this IS kind of cool. On the other, I kind of like the experiment pets being, you know, their own experiment selves. It makes them kind of unique in a way that other subeta pets aren't. But this is just my opinion.

I'm not a big fan of this pet in itself, but it's an exciting thought, that other experiments might end up being in other colours too!

Huh. Out of all the experiments to get multiple colors, this one would have been pretty low on the list in my mind! It's pretty cute, though. I love it!

This is really cool but personally I don't really like that experiment/pet there are several other experiments that would be awesome as pets you could change color and stuff. But who knows maybe others will get the same treatment in the future :3

Nice! I morphed Ferdinand Unfaithful into a Qrykee, and he kept his silver color, so I don't even need to buy any new potions or whatnot.
And now 'Snot' is a Chibi Qrykee.. I am in love! Can't wait to see potential new colours for this pet as well.

Hmmm... I'm a bit questioning the price of this. Getting a certain experiment costs a lot of sP and time (unless you're exceptionally lucky) and now you can essentially get one for only 500K. Never did I think I'd actually prefer a price raise on something.... but I kind of do. I feel like the Experiment gone "real" pets should cost more. I mean I would have been happier with you needing to get one the old fashioned way first and THEN make it potionable, but... I don't know the coding aspects of that and expect them to be a nightmare. Makes me question after as much sP as I've spent getting my 7 experiment pets if I should bother doing it anymore or just wait for this, since it's so much cheaper.
As far as the pet though, so excited to see thing become a thing and really can't wait and very much hope for other experiments to follow suit. It'll be so awesome to see them get names and other colors.
Also, can we just look at that gold qrykee? Those Luminaire light fins, I'm so digging it.

aside from the fact that I'm only interested in the common (which sink already is now) and my love for the extremely cute chibi... OMG there may be sprecial colors, I can't wait to see how cool these might turn out!1!!!!111!! <3

I think this one works well as its own species because it's similar to an animal that could be seen as a real thing. Some of the other experiments could be made into real species somewhat easily as well, but most of them are quite obviously unique experiments or mish-mashes of other various things.
Really gorgeous use of the accent colors along the spines and all. Pretty dang exciting, I love the experiments! ...well, most of them. But now I want a vibrant crocodile-pliosaur.
