Quest-A-Thon: Over Halfway!
You guys have passed the halfway point for the Quest-A-Thon! Keep up the great work everyone. <3
Just a reminder if the goal is met everyone gets 1 new pet slot, the forum title “has some fries to go with that shake”, and 5 bathhouse tokens! Participation means completing at least one quest.

don't throw in the towel just yet; we went through the same kind of stress during last summer's quest-a-thon, and met our goal with only a few hours left. we can totally do that again with this one c:
I don't really need any more pet slots either, but I liked the idea of bathhouse tokens + forum title. Looks like we probably aren't going to make it though. :c

I agree that I don't NEED a pet slot. I'm doing the quests for the forum title, to be honest. I have 14 pet slots and I'm using 9, so I don't NEED more. It's possible they'll come in handy later, but it'd be nice to choose like the others said. I could really use some stat boosts on my pet since I don't really have the money to dish for CSC. :'(

I think we need to stay positive and not blame people for not participating.
I don't care for any of the prizes, but I'm still participating as much as I can because I want others who want the slot to get it. I didn't quest much the last 3 days, because real life is more important. But, I'll have time to do quests this weekend. It's unfair to assume that people like me aren't participating because we are selfish and want to deny you a pet slot.
Anyway, I believe we can still reach the goal! People are online most during the weekends. Just don't get discouraged. c:

Oh man I reallyyyyyy hope we make it. I've been doing ALL the quests every day including Major Drills AND Battle even though they don't count just because I want the slot so badly. xD
The counter on the homepage doesn't show how many quests we need in total?? I think that would be really useful :3

....marathons don't pay the participants to run. I have a really difficult time understanding how or why the site would even want to make every quest a weekend quest for this. Either the prize is worth participating for, or it's not.
You know what would really motivate people? If everyone was weekend quests -hinthintnudgenudge-
I know this is a lot late (because I'm late for pretty much everything), but if we do a quest-a-thon next year, I really dig User not found: sputnik's suggestion of a loyalty box type crate where we can pick the bigger super-special prize we'd prefer. I, personally, don't benefit from pet slots. I've got 15 now and only using 10 while thinking of possibly downsizing if I can't come up with the csc to rename 3 of them first.
On that note, I haven't given up on helping for those that want slots. I haven't gotten as many quests done as I'd like due to rl, but I'm keeping at it. Hopefully I can finish all the quests each day this weekend.

For what it's worth, I'm really surprised there isn't a user-run "Do your quests, guys!" ping reminder group.
I know I missed about 20 quests on Monday because I got busy, forgot I hadn't finished, and then the clock rolled over, and I'm sure there are plenty of folks out there who are keen to help but are busy and come to Subeta and think "oh, man! If only I'd remembered that day I'd have done my quests!"
It could help spur participation and completion, I think. Reminders are super helpful.

@Sputnik I don't know how well it'd work in practice, but in theory some kind of box-type item sounds like a good idea to me. Either way, I'm happy knowing the staff will try to work on this for the next quest-a-thon. :-)
I really hope we reach that goal. I want the extra pet slot. I look forwards to these just for the slot. It is such a huge chunk of CSC otherwise. Doing all of them doesnt take to much time. I used a gold account specifically for the extra quests.
We've never failed a quest-a-thon, and I really don't want to now. I hope it doesn't come across as selfish because there's a pet I really want, but I really, really hope we can make up the difference. But we're like 300,000 quests to go with 2.5 days left. I -really- hope we can do it. We did so well last time!

@Freakshow I definitely get where you're coming from, but I do agree with @raumlet . I don't personally mind the questing that much as I do it while watching a show, but it is a lot of mindless clicking, especially if you're not into the prizes. That's personally why I commented on the the prizes in the first place. This whole thing is a team effort, so it'd be nice to have some other cool prize in addition to the pet slot. (I'd really like to highlight that I don't want to take anyone's extra petslot away from them, I just don't think it's optimal as the only major prize in an event like this!) I'll continue doing the best I can, but I also don't blame anyone who, for whatever reason, isn't participating. :)

Even if we do end up failing specifically because of people who don't want pet slots... How exactly can you blame them for not participating? Doing 90-150 quests a day is a huge timesink and a whole lot of clicking, and if you aren't interested in the end goal, I fully understand not wanting to bother with it. Lots of people find questing tedious.
I'm going to be doing all 150 quests every day, plus my usual BQs, even though the only thing I'm going to get any use out of is the bath tokens. I don't think Frost is blaming EVERYONE. Just saying, if there are those out there that decided to not join in just because they weren't happy with the prize, it's sorta.... sucky for the rest of us? xD

I don't think it's fair to blame the current lagging behind on the people who gave feedback about the prizes. I can obviously only speak for myself, but I was one of them, and I've still been doing all of my quests every day (apart from a day I missed due to being busy with real life). We have less time to complete the goal this time around, and a lot of people are on their summer vacations right now and simply don't have the time to spend on doing a hundred quests every day. Best we can do is keep on questing and try to get all our friends online as well. We haven't lost quite yet, so let's not give up. :heart:

I'm just idly wondering what kind of "better prize" some people want? I absolutely understand that not everyone is into pets, but giving out CSC en masse for a quest-a-thon would kill the site if it's given out per participant like the current prizes, not everyone wants CWs/wearables (plus it would deflate them in value), and site currencies (minus bathhouse tokens) are already available by the bucketful. Adding a quest-a-thon shop/currency is a no because we already have a ton of special currencies and respective shops as is. So... Kinda wondering what exactly should we have as the prize instead of a pet slot?
btw, for those curious, excluding yearly loyalty boxes, pet slots are basically unobtainable once you buy all the CSC and sP ones, so... It's kind of a priceless, superspecial prize to quite a few users. Just because it's worthless to some people doesn't mean said people have to pee in everyone else's cereal on purpose, y'know?

Still gonna plow through all of my quests for the next 3 days, but I'm not keeping my hopes high. :/ I guess all those users who were all "ugh, a petslot again? I'm actually on hiatus but I have tried to do some quests before I had to go. I'm going to try later today to finish them (: I don't need a pet slot but I do want to help other to get theirs.
i did all of mine every day except yesterday. i went to bed suuuper early. (but i only had like 15 not done!)
We still need over 300k quests in 3 days, and we didn't make the daily goal for yesterday. We can maybe still do it, but we'll need to work harder!
maybe this is a jerk thing to say but I dont think people who only have done one quest should get a pet slot....
Got a wizard buff so there's 151 done today. Alexander robbed me blind today tho... did quests I'd normally quit just to help with the totals.
Only halfway now... I have a bad feeling a lot of people only did 1 quest this entire time. I don't know if we'll make it but i'll try to get more quests in. I don't want the hard workers to max everything for nothing.

Don't know whats wrong but I've been to the bathhouse pool 5 days in a row and still have the same 3 pool points, shouldn't I have 5 points?
Yikes!!! Considering we have 72 hours left to go, this news is rather depressing not encouraging. Hopefully, we still have enough time to pull through! Time to kick it into overdrive and hope that it's enough!
