cheesus christ on a cracker I'm appalled by how long it took me to understand those little strands of fluid connecting the individual dark matters to each other/the pet like a bad hentai. Like, why are some DM pets so... oozy?? But then I blinked at the Chai and abruptly it clicked in my brain that it's supposed to be filaments of electricity, like when you touch a plasma globe and tiny lightning bolts start chasing your fingertips across the glass. I've only ever owned older darkmatter pets like the Kerubi, Sheeta, Montre, Dragarth, and Keeto (which have their weird ghostly aura thing anyway) where this isn't really drawn.

What a massive improvement, omg. Much more natural-looking pose, gorgeous shading... I especially love the eyes, they're so pretty and well-done. It's easy for darkmatter pets' eyes to look a bit creepy because they're so pale, but I just can't stop admiring the way these were colored! I'm also super fond of the way the puzzle was highlighted, it just looks so nice, and I adore the way the collar turned out. So much to love with this pet, damn, I wish I had an easier time working with bear-based pets. And I looove that the darkmatters are so much more expressive now, haha, and that the one the chai is holding is pretty clearly getting squished. It adds a lot of character!
The bovyne (in general) needs a drastic revamp! It has so much potential. I love to see Subeya grow in its art!

I think my favorite thing about the DM pets is how they're interacting with the matters around them. Mostly how the matters look scared/annoyed/grossed out XD
P.S. When the blob pet becomes a thing, I want the DM blob to be an actual giant Dark Matter. I want a huge Dark Matter for a pet SO BAD.
