Weekend Quests!



We're making strides on the site and stability, and to thank you for being patient we've reset quests and are making all quests Weekend Quests for the weekend! We've also increased the rate of morty cards, and added in some other special little prizes.

Thanks again for your patience, and we'll be putting out some more prizes over the weekend to thank you!

THANK YOU for leaving the quests as weekend bonus quests today, yay!! <3 THANK YOU for all the work and love you pour into this site. My broke ass can't support you guys as much as I wish I could, for providing a superior fun online game for all of us to enjoy... freely... in our free time... I've not been able to take advantage of all the gold account perks but I am thankful for what I get for FREE while you guys are working your butts off.

The lag reminds me of dial-up internet, lol. Because I am that old. :D
The times between holidays sometimes gets boring and lonely, and this has been anything BUT boring and lonely! Thank you @Keith and @Staff

So the quests reset during the day while I was at work so now I have to try and cram as many as I can in before tonight's reset. Not sure I can get them done though with the lag. But thanks for leaving the quests at weekend quests, that was great. Appreciate it.

Site has been running loads faster so thank you for that, I don't want to sound ungrateful but there are a lot of folks along with the complainers that have been quietly struggling through errors and issues with how the site is functioning and we have not even gotten anything aside from the bonus quests that most of us were unable to do the first two days due to lag and errors. If you don't plan on actually following through with any additional compensation for our struggles then don't say you will be rolling out more especially since it is now monday and nothing else was even announced over the weekend. Also please fix the site soon because fireside is due to start and I would like to enjoy at least one holiday where the site doesn't go boom at the start of an event, Quests haven't reset, I'm getting notices that there were purchases in my shop but it doesn't show on the sales history page. In short I am frustrated and at this point I expect better.

And was also unable to do any battle quests, as the weapons wouldn't load?

Happy to see rift, hustler, potion lottery working again but safe crack and stargazer still stuck. Shinwa reset but the other quests haven't yet. Hopefully soon. Thanks.

Library quest. Only one item. 13 minutes for six quest done. I don’t know if I have the patience to do any more. I would like to do Quentin, Saggi and Wizard quests but think I don’t have the right frame of mind to continue. Sigh. I’ll keep trying for the extra “goodies”. Patience is a virtue. I’m told.

Late to the party, but the lag is so bad I can't even do my quests this weekend. I got less than 30 all weekend, and today only four before it started doing the --tail errors when I hit start. It also has a problem with wizard quests specifically where instead of subeta.net/quests.php/wizard/start, the start button goes to subeta.net/quests.php/wizard/wizard/start and just shows the experiment 404.

I have to agree with the majority here. I very much appreciate this... but the site is still so slow that I can’t even get through quests to get the thank you bonus anyway.

Plus, I’m getting lower rewards on some quests because it’s taking so long for pages to load that my quest times are suffering.

Honestly I don’t even really care about the bonus rewards at all. Just miss playing the games and doing all the quests. Also haven’t been able to autoprice.

I’ll take a working site again over any bonuses! A working site will be thanks enough! We all love this site and we really miss it

Yes we do appreciate all the hard work we (assume) the staff has been doing for the past week and the extra quests. Just would love to see things start to get fixed like alerts, dailies, games, etc.

@Stiles I get that sometimes - whenever it happens, check the url bar - when that error shows up, the URL will usually say something like https://subeta.net/quests.php/carl/carl/start (or whichever quest you're doing at that point). I've found that removing the extra "carl" (or w/e) from the url usually fixes things.

Anyone else getting the error that when you click to do a quest, it tells you ERROR Url not found and tells you to go back to the Quest Home page, which you do, but it does the same thing

Quest shop is broken =/ It kept directing me to the "Oh No! Looks like the page refreshed. You are seeing this message to prevent you from accidentally making a duplicate purchase." error page... and still duplicating my purchases. Which of course I didn't notice until it was too late because clicking the "click here to go back" button takes you to your previous spot on the page, rather than the top.

So, uh, I guess I just wasted like 30 Quest Points.

(Also the Morty Card bump seems to be gone, which is minor as far as complaints go, but still.)

I only made mention of the lag and errors last night because I couldn't even load a page without one, Today things seem like they are running faster, Is it perfect? No but I know it is being worked on and I intend to enjoy any special things that staff release for us. thank you everyone for working so hard :D

I am very thankful for everything but it is so hard to enjoy everything with the lagging and application errors I am still getting. I am hoping it will get fixed soon.

I hate to complain, but I have to admit I'm pretty upset this wasn't announced earlier - I'd already gone to bed by the time this was posted.

I also agree with others saying that, as great as these extra quests, etc are - it's difficult to really *use* them right now. ^^; It might have been better to hold off on giving out gifts until the site was more stable. I still can't order any of my pets' treasure chests, or access the forums.

Still, thanks for all your hard work! I do appreciate it. :)

I'm still not being able to get into one of my shops to edit the items in it and place them in their categories because of the lag, but unlike yesterday, I managed to get all my quests done in a manageable amount of time, even getting to autoprice my main shop today. I feel that maybe it depends on when you're playing Subeta when the lag hits, since when I was playing last night, the lag and errors were unbearable, but when I played this morning, there was little lag and few errors (though there still were a few errors here and there).

Couldn't even finish my usual quests last night because of the lag and errors. Seems to be better this morning so hope I can at least get my regular quests done. Looking forward to everything getting fixed and back to working great again and being able to do rift, safe, potion lottery, etc., which are all still not reset.

These weekend quests have been very generous to me! I scored 7 Morty cards and a handful of pricey event items. It does take a very long time to get through the quests, though, and the Wizard quests are almost unmanageable. Also, the Rift, Hustler, etc. still haven't been reset on my end.

Still, even though the timing has been a bit wonky, the gesture is really nice, and I know you all are working really hard. Keep fighting the good fight! The end is in sight! :')

The lag is so bad I'm getting less wiz tokens and I'm also constantly getting application error pages :(. I love the gesture, but it's not working out too well atm.

Couldn't do the quests last night because of the lag sadly so missed out on those but I'm hoping today will be a bit smoother (so far not too bad). Appreciate the effort but I feel it should've been held off until the site was running normal again.

Other than the poor timing (if the bonus couldn't be started earlier due to post-downtime maintenance it would be only fair if it started on Sat. midnight and included Monday, so it's 3 days for everyone), this is pretty cool. Lag is manageable at this moment and I got a nice chunk of sP/items ^^

The errors are frustrating, but when you (we) are dealing with technology, sometimes it happens. At least you are communicating and sticking with us throughout the process instead of keeping everyone in the dark. I work in IT and communication goes a long way. For that, I thank you!

Thanks for this! I'm a little bummed I'd gone to bed by the time this happened Friday evening, but I sure was super happy to wake up to it! ... And was also happy to wake up to a little less lag than we've been dealing with the last couple of days, so that I could take advantage of this and actually do my quests. x3 The Morty Cards thing is really generous especially, and I'm super grateful. I'm grateful for the Weekend quests but the timing is very off. 7-8pm is quite late during the day to an extent that most time zones would be very late (it was about 1am where I am!) so staying up late for that wasn't worth it when it was still glitchy as hell. It would be nice to see the weekend quests to be extended til Monday until the site becomes more stable.

I agree with @Holy, I was in bed last night when this happened, and since I had to get up early this morning, I didn't want to stay up late to do them again. It would have been nice if you'd done it earlier. I compensated for the tokens I missed out on by spending a referral point to get the 500 one, but I can't do that for the other prizes.

Thank you, I was wondering what happened to the weekend quest. Though I have say that as a European player I'm disappointed by the time of the announcement, which means I have one day less than the American players. Still thankful though, you're really trying to do good for everyone

Playing Subeta right now is quite an adventure, can't wait to see the gifts you guys prepared for us. Though I must agree with Rick this was announced late and some (including myself) will only get 2 days with increased prizes while others will have 3. Oh well that's just it.. hope all gets fixed pretty soon xD

I've been playing subeta for some years, and I never did it, but today I really have to criticize!

For begin, I can't thank something that was posted at 7pm, so some players have 3 days and some players have 2 days -nosense.
And to continue I think you should first solve all the problems/bugs of the site, including this lag that takes "hours" to load a page and then give gifts. No?

I love the team, but I really needed to vent this! Sorry..

I won;t be able to participate any any quests this weekend seeing as I am currently at a convention, but regardless, this was thoughtful of you. ^^ If the site behaves itself I might try and get some Saggi or Wizard quests in. That won't take me too long, I don't think. By the way, the Rift is still broken, hope it will start working again soon, it thinks I've already visited it when I have not.

Just a quick note: I haven't been able to access the Rift, Hustler, etc., for two days now. Seems they haven't reset on my end. Not sure if this is site-wide or something wonky on my account, but just letting you know. Thanks again for all the hard work! As someone who has worked on migrating data, I know how frustrating, difficult, and tedious it can be. <3

Sorry, but why did you decide to do this at 7.55 p.m.???!!! Close to the end of the day?! It was pretty slow going yesterday, I kept falling asleep, while questing, still must have finished just a little prior to this decision .

I know things are a bit bumpy right now, but thank you. You don't "owe" us anything and yet time and again the subeta team reaches out and does/gives us things just for our happiness. Extra quests, gifties, these are very kind. I'd rather be patient and not lose things that are precious to me, or people lose accounts, or pets, or any insane bugs. I'm really glad that you're working quickly but also taking the time to go over everything. Thank you team!

I cant get to the forums so im posting here.
I went to log in & it acted like my name/passwrd was wrong. It would take me to the other login page. So I went back & I tried again, same thing. I then decided to login through the second page. I got taken to the PIN page I entered that & I got sent to an "application error" page The Amazonaws one. I refreshed same thing. I came back a couple min later & refreshed again. I was now logged out. I never logged out myself or closed my browser. I said the other day in the past 12 years ive been on here Ive never been randomly logged out before. This is twice now in a couple of days. Both times its happened when Ive been taken to that Application error page.

Well, my quests took 3x as long as normal and seriously tested my patience, but I got 6.5m out of it, 12 morty cards, and 2 wishlist items that were in the 2-4m range. Worth the pain and suffering, I suppose :P

I was planning to stay up late and get some quests done after the midnight reset, hoping that the dailies reset also. But now I think I'm just going to go to bed and hope things are working tomorrow. This is frustrating. Sorry guys, appreciate the staff but this isn't any fun.

Like don't get me wrong, I really appreciate these GA and quest bonuses, but could they have waited until the site was actually usable? the lag is insane even now, and has been the past few days since the site came back. this in no way is meant as an attack at the site or staff, i greatly appreciate the work that has gone into this entire thing. it's just, couldn't the "thanks for waiting till we're done fixing things" have waited until those things *had* been fixed? it just seems like such a waste.

Still got lag with some of the quests, and a few errors sprinkled in here and there, but it's a lot less than what I experienced earlier in the day when I first started doing the quests (Got Library's and Pete's done while about in the middle of Quentin's quests when the bonus ones got initiated, if that shows how much lag there was earlier), and I'm glad about that, but I agree with the rest of the comments here that this should've been implemented once the lag had been dealt with and the errors fixed.

Also, I think Maleria's busted for her bonus items, because I'm getting blank on the items.

I really appreciate this, but:

When the site is this laggy, the "punishment" effect for not being super fast on the blue building and wizard quests should be turned OFF, because the reason I can't get a quest done in under one minute is application errors and lag, not that I'm not trying and getting distracted (although the errors do cause my attention to wander a bit, no surprise!)

Also I've been at work since you made this announcement and only have 2 hours to finish questing for Friday because I live in California, I worked from 10-7 today, and your midnight is my 9 PM so an extra day would be beyond awesome. <3

Although there's lag, I find it's much less intense than certain events where pages would take a few min to load. The transition has been bumpy; however, it's expected and a big thank you to staff for working so hard at improving our experience here :heart:

Sorry about the last comment, im getting really irritated with the lag and millions of errors. Trying to relax on subeta at work but the site is kinda unplayable, doesnt seem like its my phone lol. Thanks for the extras but like others said what good do they do if the site is unplayable? Hope this gets fixed soon before im forced on hiatus again xx

It's a nice gesture especially with the golden accounts but it's near impossible to use the site. Don't think we can take advantage of the re-set with all those crashes.

Nice gesture and all. Thanks for this and the GA medal, but I am not so sure about the timing... between the lag, page errors, and server connectivity errors, the site just doesn't seem like it was stable enough to insight all the users to come on and quest!

This is what I'm getting when I try to quest:An error occurred in the application and your page could not be served. If you are the application owner, check your logs for details. You can do this from the Heroku CLI with the command
heroku logs --tail. *sigh*

I know the thought was there and all but this may have been better AFTER things were settled as the lag or pages just not loading is making questing un-enjoyable so I'll pass, but again I know the intentions were good and so am grateful.
