Revamps!
Note: Only the overlay for the Woodcutters Wolf Tooth has been updated.

when i was a child i wanted to be a wolf.
I think the positioning of the Woodcutters wolf is much nicer, but I did really love the coloring.

I wanna start off by saying everything is loads loads better. So ty staff for breathing new life into these old beloved items
I do see what people are a little puzzled about in regards to the wolf pendant though. The shading and coloring is beautiful, and the new angle shows more of the body which is an A++ in my book- But the new one's paws are comparatively larger and the body bulkier and more muscular than the old one, which isnt a bad thing!-But it has lost some of the sleekness and i guess elegance the old one had ( which i think ppl liked ).
Also where the muzzle meets the forehead, which is usually fine for most canines, but usually wolves ( and the old version! ) had for lack of a better word, a flatter?? lol face which did give it a more wolf-like appearance ( again, which i think ppl liked ).
I scribbled a little thing, which is not at all perfect, but it does implement some of the points listed above while still retaining most of the original of the new vers., for ppls consideration. o

As I mentioned in my last comment, the Subeta artists most likely do this work out of passion for the site rather than the pay. Now, if they want to correct me, go for it.
When it comes to item revamping and receiving feedback, which would you prefer?
"I think this would fix what is wrong" along with an actual analysis of the style and anatomy, "I'm not a big fan but it is what it is" and leave it be/find an alternative, or "wow I hate this, it looks nothing like what it's supposed to be"?
If you're a reasonable person who isn't looking to tear someone down, you'll either do the first or second. People can dislike revamps - that is 100% fine! - but it's when you turn into an unapologetic asshole right off the bat that's the problem.
The artists are NOT punching bags that feel nothing when people are saying that their work sucks and that they can't draw this, that, or the other thing. They are trying their best, and while Subeta IS a business, the customers should hold a certain level of respect when the employees are genuinely trying. It's a give-and-take and honestly, props to the artists who can take those inconsiderate hits. A ton of artists already suffer from doubting themselves.
If you really don't like a revamp/release then help the artist in some way eather than get nasty because you don't like what direction they went in.

God please hear my pray and revert that mess because there is a very art scholar here that thinks an anime styled wolf is exactly the same to a realistic wolf draw.

It looks like I am not the only one who is wishing that the gryphon heart could be wearable! :D I am not sure what the overlay might look like, but anything involving gryphons would make me super happy. <3
All the new art looks lovely, but I can see why there are some people who don't care for the new wolves. They are quite drastically different from the originals, even though the art was obviously outdated and in need of improvement. The difference in coloration, posing, and style makes them seem like a totally different items. Unfortunately, it seems to be the standard with revamps that some people will be disappointed. :(

The new Wolf Tooth art looks great! The color patterns are really pretty and the expression is spicy

Oh Lord, do I feel old. I just got flashbacks to the day the Succubus and Incubus items were first released.

The new Wolves looks awesome, especially the Mysterious Pendant was so out dated it's use able now. Also looks much more like a wolf! thanks again staff.
@lull yeah, I really liked how the old Flirtations were different colours since it set them apart from the other heart items on the site! I love the new art, I just wish they weren't all the same colour now. Makes them stand out less.
I'm not sure how I feel about the pendant wolf's revamp splayed front feet, but at least its forward facing foot doesn't just have two mutant toes anymore. Even if I was a far, far more talented artist I doubt I'd know where to begin redlining that poor scruff!

Ahh I am going to miss my tiny yet intimidatingly pointy incubus wings. They've been kinda puffy-fied along with the hearts lol
Hmm, I have mixed feelings about the as it has long been one of my favorite wearables on the site. The fact that it no longer has the HA cut-outs is fantastic! That always bothered me. I loved the coloring on the old one because it resembled my dog, haha. The new one is much darker but beautiful in it's own way. It just feels very different, even the expression and position of the ears. Not saying it's bad or anything (not at all -- and that shading is amazing!) but part of me prefers the lighter colors and softer expression of the old one. Just my opinion. The artist did an absolutely wonderful job on it just the same and I do love it -- I guess I just want both old and new? XD
(The reason I liked the other pendant is because I liked how "fake" it looked. The new one is a mix between fake and real and it does not hit the spot. I think the fake one looked cute. I wish for a more real looking one now though.)
I'm also kinda sad about the tooth; the new wolf looks great, but it's more like "Imma cool wolf dude, woof", while the older was a majestic creature. In very, very different colours. I'll be still gladly using it, but at the same time missing the previous version.
Can't really decide about the new white wolf versus old. The old one was a cartoon and the new more realistic. But I do know I liked the old brown wolf much better.
The Mysterious Pendant looks AMAZING! I just wish the Succubus Wig looked more like the old version. It's too in the face and has too much crown volume now. Don't get me wrong the art is great. It just feels too poofy. I would love it if revamps worked like transform items so we could pick which one to wear.
Oh come on! Please make the spell ingredients wearable! With the revamps looking awesome it just makes more sense. Pleeeeeeze

The art on the new one looks great! I'll probably still use the item. It just has a different "vibe" to it, and I strongly prefer the energy of the old one. I feel like it could've just been made a brand new item, personally!

Completely baffled at the hate towards the new Mysterious Pendant. The old one was wildly outdated and looked more like a vaguely dog-shaped creature, on top of having almost no emotion to it. The new one really could use the pendant, yes, but it actually looks like a wolf and it could be read as a few different emotions. It's gorgeous. I'm sure, though, that any change on this one would have been received negatively by a lot of the same people. I think it's hard to successfully update such deeply outdated art. Frankly disappointed how many of you are up in arms over that one, really.

Not a big fan of the reddish color of the new one. Keeping it looking straight at the viewer would've gone a long way, too.

Absolutely ruined EVERYTHING about the Mysterious Pendant and the Woodcutters Wolf Tooth. I really enjoyed wearing my Mysterious Pendant. It really is sad that most of the time things are revamped, they are purposefully made less appealing. I noticed this with the NPC’s long ago. I thought it was to show empathy or lessen expectations of perfectionism. I believe it’s gone too far when the wolves are changed so harshly.
throwing in that I also prefer the older succubus wig, it was also more leaning unisex which i enjoyed.

The Mother of Pearl and Magnetic Stones are gorgeous.

It's the expressions, I think. The old white wolf looked sweet; the new one looks like it's glowering. The old woodcutter's wolf looked regal; the new one looks like some kind of trickster god in animal form. Nothing wrong with any of it, just I think why I haven't warmed to them immediately.
The new art is great but I'm going to miss my cartoony white wolf with the mysterious pendant. I just liked him. Also I guess his eyes are meant to be glowing but it kinda looks like his fur is spray-painted blue. I'm super not feeling the new woodcutter's wolf tooth but I'm clearly alone in that, and the art is objectively great. Just not for me for whatever reason.
@Amber when you do talk to the artist about the hearts, perhaps bring up the following point before they remake the missing ones so they can fix the first: the outline is black as supposed to on the CI, but the OV has it red... Which doesn't work. (( CC: @omg_carrie yeah we saw same thing uh! the rest might be a case of preferences but this part is legit not supposed to ))
I liked the dark colour of the gryffin heart and it seemed more three dimensional before, now it looks like a flatten piece of meat.. ooh a bit like a raw chicken fillet.
As always the standard of the art work is fab but there are always changes that don't seem needed.

& liked the tattoos looking bold/thick, because I liked layering them as a pattern too.
Would also love to see any updated tails being made as a single item, since we can easily layer them behind the legs/clothes now. :d
Pretty much, there's nothing all that wrong with any of the new ones, I just liked some things about the older ones more.
Except... will forever miss the little broken-looking line down the middle of the old hearts. :(
Made them look more like it was false love being given, since that's kind of the whole deal with that theme. oh well.
